Crew was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. - Crew was very friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Boat was small which we wanted and felt like we had gone back in time. The lighthouse cruise was amazing, It was a great fun and we learned so much about Portland and Maine. Great experience from start to finish and would do again next time in the area.

Stellar experience with a fun crew - So glad we booked our schooner cruise with this company. Great communication prior to the cruise. Every staff member, from dock check-in to the sailing crew was friendly and personable. Seating is on the wood cabin roof, so bring a jacket to sit on. You can get up and walk around and help hoist sails. The crew know a lot of history and general knowledge about the bay area. We had so much fun. Our weather was sunny with a light breeze, so they did use the motor once in a while just to keep us cruising along. We saw seals, loons, lobster boats and several lighthouses. I would definitely recommend!

Exhilarating Experience - Heeling was amazing! Had never been on such an exhilarating sail. Captain and crew were nice and seemed to handle windy/chilly conditions well. Quite a thrilling ride!

Real sailing - This trip is unique because the ship actually ran via sails, not motor. The crew also allowed us to help pull up the sails. Wind was great.

Nice historic boat - The “captain” shared a brief history of this lovingly restored boat before setting out for our 2 hour cruise. It was a sailing vessel, but we were motored the whole trip. 4 star rating due to overcrowded feel, lack of and water, snack etc/ even for purchase, uncomfortable seating, no shaded areas to escape. The crew was young and friendly. Woman at ticket office not so much. Didn’t feel like the thrill it could have been.

Ruined months of planning - This excursion never happened. Waist of my time & planning My credit card was charged day before the trip & confirmed for the 12:00 noon tour. I called & a left message to inform tour operator that we had to clear customs at 11am in Portland also that we would be there for our 12:00 sailing. We were first off our cruise ship. Then morning of tour operator texted. informing us they did not have a 12:00 but had room at the 11:00 sailing. Also had a 1:30 sailing. We accepted the 1:30 only to be texted after informing us there was no room in the 1:30 tour for 4 passengers. Then no room for 2 passengers. Our tour was booked months in advance with zero contact from Viator or tour company of any changes. Also this was the only tall ship tour listed so we had no options to even book a 1:30 My advice would be find another port. Pass on this one.
