- Oregon Health & Science University - As Portland’s largest employer, OHSU is an architectural wonder, situated atop a tall, narrow peak of the Tualatin mountains. With a strong focus on patient care, the teaching hospital and research facility is adorned with art, some of which we’ll explore before boarding the tram.
- South Waterfront Park - We’ll stroll through the South Waterfront neighborhood, where we’ll pick up some doughnuts!
- Tilikum Crossing - We’ll introduce you to our favorite bridge, the Tilikum, and explore why it was built here and what makes it unique (and initially controversial).

Early tour participants are treated to breathtaking views. Guests will be picked up in central downtown Portland and taken to a favorite local coffee roaster for a chance to grab a coffee or tea. Early tour participants are treated to breathtaking views. Guests will be picked up in central downtown Portland and taken to a favorite local coffee roaster for a chance to grab a coffee or tea. At OHSU, guests will be guided to the Aerial Tram. This marvel of Italian engineering will take them to the top, where the early sun illuminates the city’s vibrant colors. Depending on the timing of the sunrise and the weather, guests will either witness the sun rising over the horizon or enjoy the city views in the soft morning light.
After descending, guests will hear the story of the bridge and its whimsical lights, and receive an introduction to the city, with its east-west divider in view.
The Aerial Tram, constructed in 2006, connects the main campus of Oregon Health Sciences University with the South Waterfront neighborhood. Guests will join students and medical staff on their daily tram journey!
