This thematic half-day tour about caves and volcanoes at Terceira island, will show all the different outcomes of the volcanic origins of the islands! Starting with the climb onto Serra do Cume top, where you’ll be surprised by the breathtaking beauty of one of the largest craters of the Azores; visit the Algar do Carvão, where you feel the experience of being on the inside of an empty volcano; have a small walk through the trail that leads you around the fumarolic field of Furnas do Enxofre; and explore the cave of Gruta do Natal, a set of basaltic lava tunnels; visit the natural pools of volcanic origin in Biscoitos, where you can admire its amazing bay filled with black volcanic rock.
