Porto Novo - After arriving in Santo Anto, you’ll become acquainted with the city of Porto Novo.
Porto Novo-Ribeira Grande Road - Undoubtedly, this is the most spectacular road throughout Cape Verde. Constructed in 1962 with basalt stones, it links the northern and southern parts of the island. The road boasts breathtaking scenery, featuring narrow paths, steep gorges, and a diverse range of flora including pine, eucalyptus, mimosa, acacia, and more.
Ribeira Grande - Nestled between two valleys, this vibrant city is a hub for agriculture and provides essential services such as banking, postal, and educational facilities. It offers opportunities for hiking in the island’s largest valley.
Ponta Do Sol - Situated at the northernmost tip of the island, this quaint fishing village is a significant historical and touristic spot. From here, one can drive along the coastal Linha to Fontainhas, where the views are spectacular and the roads are notably narrow.
Paul - Known as the lushest valley in all of Cape Verde, PaÃºl is abundant with water flowing from the Cova Crater towards the ocean, offering some of the most delightful vistas of the valley. During your visit, you’ll have the chance to explore a rum distillery and sample the local spirits.
Porto Novo - To conclude your trip, you’ll return to Porto Novo to catch the ferry back to Mindelo, taking the new road.
