- 516 Arouca - Suspension Bridge - Departing from Porto and heading to Arouca, we’ll make a brief pause for breakfast and restroom use.\nFollowing that, the excitement begins!\nTraverse one of the world’s longest suspension bridges!\n- Paiva Walkways - The Paiva Walkways offer an impressive 7 km pathway that weaves its way downhill along the Paiva river’s left bank within the Arouca Geopark, recognized by UNESCO as a Geological site.\nPlease note: the descent is exclusively downhill, and there’s an option to cover just half the distance - 3.5 km. What will it involve? Crossing the world’s second longest suspending footbridge, navigating the Paiva Walkways (downhill), and exploring Aveiro and Costa Nova.
Make your way down the 7km stretch of the Paiva Walkways. This boardwalk is located on the left side of the Paiva river at Arouca Geopark, a UNESCO-recognized Geological site.
The Arouca 516 Footbridge is a whopping 516m-long (1,692ft) across the valley and is suspended 175m (576ft) above the Paiva River. Feel brave enough?
Following the walk, our day continues with a mouth-watering meal at a traditional restaurant situated in a quaint countryside slate stone village. Various options available including: meat, fish and vegetarian.
Spend the afternoon in Aveiro, often referred to as the “Portuguese Venice”. Here, you can discover the old district, main squares and the fish market.
Participate in a boat ride through the canals on traditional river boats and get to know the captivating city via its canals.

- Notice: Right before our walk starts, we need to go through a winding road over the Paiva mountain. If you have car motion sickness problems, we advise you to have a tablet or a pill to help with that issue.
