- Our studio is located in a typical and narrow street of morro da Sé Cathedral, in a walking distance you will find Sé Cathedral, Ribeira, D. Luis I Bridge, Guindais, São Bento Station, and the neighbourhood of Sé itself it’s a typical and magical place full of inspiring spots.

Highly Recommended ! - I didn't have much watercolor experience, but I still treasure the picture I made. Stimulating small group conversation with the artist and other travelers from different parts of the world. Cute art studio!

Fantastic experience - Fantastic workshop. It was two super pleasant hours, in which, in addition to learning a little more about the technique, I learned about Hugo’s business and about his paintings. 100% I recommend.

Fun art activity in Porto - We went as a group of four (one couple, two friends) and it was such a blast. Hugo was patient and helpful and the art we made was beautiful. It was based off a spot in Porto that Hugo gave us the address to and we later went to explore that area. The artwork came out great and now hangs in our home as a wonderful souvenir. Overall a really great memorable activity to get to do in Porto. Highly recommend.

Excellent class, awesome experience, not to be missed! - Hugo is an excellent artist and teaches watercolor so anyone can understand it. He is very patient and very personable. We painted an actual scene in Porto that he has his drawing copied on to very good watercolor paper. I loved this class very much!!!

Wonderful experience - The workshop was so much fun! Hugo is super friendly and makes learning new techniques feel easy and relaxed. Great for all levels, I left feeling way more confident and inspired to paint more. Highly recommend it!

A highly recommended activity - We enjoyed the watercolor workshop a lot.
It is beautiful to carry a watercolor of a typical landscape made by yourself.
I don't know how to paint, I signed up to accompany my son but I've been able to do a pretty decent and beautiful work.
Hugo patiently explains every step that needs to be taken. We've learned a lot.

Would recommend - I really enjoyed this watercolour workshop. Hugo was a friendly host with a lovely studio, who did an excellent job of guiding us through creating our watercolour paintings. A very relaxing experience with the added bonus of a lovely watercolour painting as the end product. Thank you Hugo.

Great guided activity to create your own water color master piece keepsake from Portugal - I traveled to the beautiful country of Portugal with my family in October. I did not realize that the fall would mean more rain. As I was checking the weather throughout the week, I realized that it was scheduled to rain when I had a tour scheduled. Not wanting to be miserable outdoors in the rain, I rescheduled the tour and looked for indoor activities. One activity that came in my search was Hugo's watercolour painting class. The location is close to Sao Bento station and a walk up hill to his study. He was a great host and teacher. Provided us with water, provided us with art history and history of Porto. It was a fun family activity and we each had pride in seeing our finished painting. I had no idea at the beginning that I would make something worth keeping. This class is perfect for all art skills. Hugo is very patient, talented, and a good teacher.

Peaceful painting - Hugo is a kind teacher of watercolor technique. He demonstrated brush usage, saturation, wash and line. We learned how to mix colors, how to create texture and shadows. Lovely 2 hours.

Fun and unique experience painting in Porto - I loved this experience! Hugo is so friendly and welcoming and he’s an excellent teacher. It was so easy to follow his instructions and I’m very happy with how my painting turned out. This is a fun experience and you get to leave with a unique souvenir of Porto. I also liked that afterwards, I was able to easily find the location of the place we painted and take a photo of it.
