The exceptional scenery and delectable culinary delights of the World Heritage site, the Douro Valley, one of the world’s most ancient winemaking regions, will astound you. This region is the birthplace of Douro Wine, particularly Port wine.
Upon arrival, we’ll be sampling some enticing valley produce: almonds, locally baked bread, and delectable honey, all complemented by Douro´s red, white, and rosé wines.
Next, we will be off to Pinhão train station, where the blue and white Portuguese tiles depict the history of Douro’s wine industry. If desired, an optional boat excursion is available.
Following that, we’ll pay a visit to a family-run winery where we’ll have a special lunch menu with everything included, accompanied by White, Red, and Port Wines. Post-lunch, you’ll partake in a Port Wine tasting where you’ll sample vintages from multiple different years.
Before we return to Porto, we’ll stop in Amarante, where you will have one last tasting.
