10/10 Experience! - We took a train from São Bento station in Porto to the Douro Valley which was about 2 hours. The boat boarded and we were off, the cruise had great scenery, danced on the deck prior to a wonderful traditional Portuguese lunch! Complete with complimentary wine and espressos! We then went through a few locks which was a really neat experience, and ended the cruise dancing on the deck again! The weather was rainy but lunch was indoors and we brought rain coats so we were fine outside!

Tour Vallée du douro October 2024 - Amazing Duro Valley. The tour was well run and our Onofre Guide super interesting and dynamic. Professional Tropa driver. 2 negatives: only red wine for the meal and only rice and not pasta as it was supposed to. But otherwise, tower to recommend without hesitation.

Douro River Trip - Beautiful scenic trip, going through enormous locks - not for the faint hearted! Generous lunch on board. Good value. Very well organised. Definitely recommend this trip!

Boat trip down river - The train up to Regua, interesting and probably much better than by bus. The young lady in charge did not count the people from the train to the boat and left two behind. Pity about the weather but nothing can be done about that. Much better if lunch had been served after the first dam. This would have broken the viewing time in a more acceptable interval. The red wine at lunch was terrible and white wine was not offered. The glass of white bought from the bar was more than acceptable. It was a rather windy on the top deck since the boat was sailing into the wind because we were going down river. The views were good. Not sure about the information on the tannoy.

Mixed bag of fish - Living Tours were terrible, after changing the time by 1hr - their guide showed up 35mins late after the time change. The Rota Do Douro never got the msg that despite 3 bookings requesting no pork, they served pork. To their credit, they did refund some money but not the original. The cruise though is SPECTACULAR, you’ll love it! Perhaps book direct with Rota Do Douro?

Disappointed - The boat was fine, and the food was good. Scenery lovely. Our guide met us for pickup at the train station. Other than walk us to the train and boat, she did nothing. Sat in the Captain's bridge, never in six hours did she check on how we were doing. The pre-recorded site seeing guides voice did not go to the dining area, so when eating lunch we could not hear what was being said! Near the end the inebriated guests were smoking all over the deck, it was impossible to get upwind of them.
