Additional Information
Embark on a day-long exploration of the Douro Valley while riding comfortably in a vehicle. The journey involves wine tasting, savoring a traditional Portuguese lunch, and experiencing a boat trip (1h) on the Douro River. The tour provides two choices: one includes a pick-up from our designated meeting point, and the other includes a pick-up from your hotel. This will be specified at the time of booking. The tour is conducted in the following languages: English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Minimum age to drink is 16 years, but everyone can participate on the tour
- Vegetarian option is available
- The services included in the tour are subject to third party availability and may change without notice.
- Usually tours run in one language but there are cases where one extra language or more can be used.
- The wine estates are subject to availability and may change to similar options with no prior notice.
- You may be asked to meet your guide at a point no more than 5 minutes on foot from your location (for the ones that choose hotel pick-up)
- Our groups per vehicle can go up to 30 people
- Seating for children is available, they are not allow to go on the laps
- The pick-up at Hotel is only available for the ones that choose the Pick-up included option.
- For the ones that choose the pick-up included option if the address is not given more that 24h before of the tour they have to meet the guide on the meeting point.
- The ones that book Portuguese tours, may have to do the visits in English to the wineries
- Since they request a minimum number to provide a tour in Portuguese language, if they do not reach it you will have to join the English tour

Definitely recommend! - Igor and Rui were amazing! The day was perfect. Igor was lots of fun, shared history of the area and added lots of humor to our trip!

Great experience - This was a highlight for us. Lino and Manuela were such gracious hosts. We chose for hotel pick up, which was good. Manuela made sure our every need was tended to and gave our entire family a great experience. We had our teenage son with us & she made sure the vineyard had juice waiting for him and he was well taken care of as well. The boat tour was nice, the vineyard was amazing and the port tasting was a great cap to the day.

Great way to experience the Douro Valley! - Amazing day from start to finish. Milena was a fun, friendly and knowledgeable host. And Rui was an excellent driver! Highlights were the personable experience of the family winery (tasting, lunch, and time to enjoy the property) and the amazing views in the mountains and on the river cruise. None of our group were fans of the port, but it was a great way to learn about it and have a few tastes. Bonus points for all the friendly fellow tour folks we met from Switzerland, Iceland, London and other parts of Canada!

Amazing views - The tour was amazing, we enjoyed all of it. The views in the Douro valley were absolutely gorgeous. Ricardo , our guide and Carlos, our bus driver did an exceptional job of keeping us entertained , informed and safe. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Scenic drive - Scenic drive, very helpful guides (cm tours), experienced bus drivers, pleasant boat ride, good time management… in short if you are not taking a private tour, even arranged tour is great. Compliments to municipal corporation of Porto to keep the place neat and clean.

Fun day in Duoro - A great tour overall that gives you a taste of the Duoro Valley within reasonable price relative to other tour operators. Tour guide Caitya was awesome! The river cruise was fairly short (around 25mins) and not that amazing. Lunch and wines served at lunch could have been better and I wish there was opportunity to visit one more winery.

Brilliant tour, lunch the only down side - Catia the tour guide was excellent, very friendly and good knowledge of the Douro Valley. Both vineyards we visited were great, learnt lots about wine and port making and history and tasted some good wines and ports. The boat trip was lovely, nice to have the option to buy port on the boat too. What let the tour down was the lunch. We didn't have lunch until 3pm which was an hour later than suggested and the quality of the food was bad. Bland soup, over cooked rice and a strange pudding. If the tour company could use other caterers for the lunch I would happily go again or recommend to a friend as the rest of the tour was brilliant!

Do not go!!! - The trip is not worth it. The lunch was mediocre and wines were not something to get too excited about. The guide was good and made it somewhat worth it with her attention.
