Can't miss experience! - Laura (our guide) created a warm and friendly environment that made it easy to relax and enjoy her informative presentation. The group size fit perfectly (and became a mini porto family), it was a special experience and views of the city and sunset were amazing! Highly Recommend

Fantastic boat trip - This is a small group trip where the hosts made everyone feel very welcome. We found the tour hosts to be very friendly and knowledgeable. The port tasting was an added bonus! By touring on the river, we were able to see a different angle of Porto and the surrounding areas and would recommend this trip to everyone!

The Heart of Porto - The Douro River Cruise - After a few glitches in communication, we showed up for a rescheduled tour (we originally signed up for a 12:00pm-2:00pm cruise, but were asked the day before if we could change to 3:00pm-5:00pms, which we were able to accommodate). We used Google Maps to find the location where we arrived about two hours early just to make sure we'd have no trouble finding it. On the dock, we happened to run into Adriano, who turned out to be our captain, and we explained we'd be back at 3:00. He pointed out a row of small fresh seafood restaurants across the street, and we had a great lunch at Pepino - fresh fresh grilled salmon and lulas (squid), roasted baby potatoes and a crisp green salad - across the street. We returned shortly before 3:00 and joined two other couples, Adriano, and our tour guide, Laura. Warm welcomes and safe boarding of the vessel accomplished, and we were off! It was a brilliant afternoon, sunny and pleasantly warm for December 30, and Laura shared just the right amount of information regarding the history of the six bridges that currently span the Douro River, as well as the history of the many buildings, old and new, that rise sharply from the river onto the steep hills that characterize the city of Porto. We enjoyed wine tastings of port wine - ruby, tawny and white - and had plenty of time to ask questions of Laura and to engage in convivial conversations with our fellow passengers. Really, really worth the time and money it cost for the two-hour cruise and we recommend it highly. We hope to return in two years when Laura and Adriano will be guiding the "Seven-Bridge Tour of the Douro!" Thanks to you both for making it a truly fabulous adventure!

Great Intimate View of the Douro River, Porto’s History and Character and the 6 Bridges - We had a wonderful 2 hour boat ride along the Douro River in Porto in the late afternoon on November 12, 2024. Departure point was 10 minutes by bus #500 out of the historic city centre, but that didn’t hurt the experience. The boat is small, but skipper (Adrienne?) was careful to stay out of the way of larger boats and turn into their wakes, and he took it slow enough for us to feel safe, see everything and take lots of photos. Guide (Paola?) gave us interesting facts about the bridges and insight into Porto’s history and character. Although the boat would take up to 10 passengers, it was just my wife and me, possibly due to the season. It made for a very intimate and fun tour. We very much enjoyed tastings of 3 or 4 different port wines. Boat driver and guide took many photos of us as we went and sent them all to us immediately after the tour. All in all, we felt it was well worth the price and would strongly recommend this tour.

So fun! Worth it 100% - We booked this the day of and it was PERFECT! Our guide and captain were so knowledgeable of the city of Porto and we also learned interesting things about local life! They were so friendly and kind! The port wine tasting was fun and blankets were available if you were cold. I would recommend:)

Our best descision ! - 100% recommended ! Laura & Adriano were the best hosts.We enjoyed the 02 hours tour. We learned many things about Porto,the river,bridges,etc. We had a good time!!

TripAdvisor cancellation message received 2 hours after the planned start - My 12 noon booking was cancelled by TripAdvisor at 2pm the same day (2 hours after the planned start) due to weather/currents. I have since asked TripAdvisor to investigate. They say they informed me when they knew .The company say they informed TripAdvisor the day before. I do not know which but can confirm that I had a lovely view of the douro river from the ouro pier for the 1.5 hours waiting at the meeting point.....whilst phoning the contact number on the confirmation voucher (no answer) and checking text/whatsapp/email (nothing received). The refund was speedy so no problem there. I also enjoyed the boat trip that I managed to find with another company 2 hours later.
