• Porto Cathedral (Sé Catedral) - Situated in the heart of the historic district, the Porto Cathedral is among Portugal’s oldest monuments.
• São Bento Railway Station - This station links the Minho and Douro Valley railway lines. The building features French architectural influences and was designed by Portuguese architect José Marques da Silva, officially opening on October 5th, 1916. It is renowned for its tile panels.
• Café Majestic - Located on Santa Catarina Street, this historic café embodies the Belle Époque era with its carved wood, mirrors, and chandeliers. In 2011, it was ranked as the sixth most beautiful café in the world.
• Mercado do Bolhão - This market is one of the city’s most iconic. Housed in a typical neoclassical building, the Bolhão market offers fresh local produce. It is organized by product areas, including fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Outside, there are various coffee and clothing shops.
• Torre dos Clérigos - The church and tower are exemplary architectural works from the 18th century. The tower is a city landmark, designed by architect Nicolau Nasoni. Both buildings feature Baroque style and have been National Monuments since 1910.
• Livraria Lello - Lello & Irmão Bookstore - Recognized as one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores by numerous personalities and organizations. The staircases inspired the Hogwarts stairways in the Harry Potter books, as JK Rowling lived in Porto.
• Ribeira Square - Ribeira Neighborhood - One of the city’s oldest areas, located along the river and part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. This vibrant area is filled with restaurants and bars.
• Ponte de Dom Luís I - This metal-structured bridge, constructed between 1881 and 1888, connects the cities of Porto and Gaia.
