More than expected! - Very knowledgeable guide, with a great sense of humor - relayed the history of Porto in a story-like way. Trip ended up being a little longer than advertised but this was mainly due to a long queue for Livraria Lello and a welcome cafe stop for drinks, snacks, and restroom break. Really a stunning tour that turned out to be more than we expected - and totally doable for our 8- and 10-yr old kids. The guide also gave us an excellent recommendation for lunch with the freshest grilled seafood - highly recommend!

3 fun ways to experience Porto - Great history tour delivered in a fun and informative way with Francisco. He navigated the dual languages well, although it created some wait time. He is passionate about his job and his city. Loved that we got to walk, ride the cable car and then cruise the river.

Wonderful tour experience! Would book again with Scotch, the tour guide! - I booked this tour through the Viator app. Scotch led a wonderful tour. Not only was he knowledgeable about Porto history, architecture, culture and leisure activities, he was able to communicate to a diverse tour group in English, French and Portuguese! During the boat ride experience he went around and told people places to go after the tour ended for lunch for leisure and for shopping. He really does know his stuff! I would highly recommend him as a tour guide. Pro tip: arrive early to the pickup spot so that you are not left and download the Uber app so that you can get back to downtown!

Spectacular Views - Iga was patient and gave us ample time to take pictures at each stop. We got a sample of what Porto and Gaia was like and sh made recommendations to some places for night life or to come back to on our own time. The views were spectacular. We did not feel rush at all. Worth the price!!!

Porto Walkjng Tour - This was a good tour. We toured Old Town and saw the key landmarks. Iga, our guide, was very knowledgeable and gave us tips and fun facts about the city.. She kept us on schedule and allowed time for pictures along the way. The walking was not too bad, but wear comfy shoes.

Beautiful views - The meeting spot is out front of the Centre of Photography. Therefore, there is no need to enter the bldg. The sign identifying the Centre is very small considering the size of the bldg. Because the Centre is the meeting spot for a number of walking tours, there were over 100 people out front in a relatively large Plaza like area. This made it hard to hear our tour guide who needed a megaphone &/or something to make him stand out in a crowd (like the free walking tour guides who carried yellow umbrellas & jackets which were clearly marked free walking tour). There were more than 18 tourists circling him when he revealed that another soft-spoken person would be helping with the tour. He advised that the tourists would be split between the 2 of them. Unfortunately, both tour guides' names escape me. However, the young lady we were with seemed pleasant but was very soft spoken & seemed uninterested at times. She walked ahead of the tourists & at times didn't look back to see if we were all there. Some of the tourists left her tour & went back to the original male tour guide. She was on her phone a lot & left the tour early (in the cable car line) as she had another tour to start. She did, however, perk up when informing us about nightlife. She did inform us of traditional Portuguese foods & showed us well-known landmarks, which were beautiful but we were unable to hear some of the info provided though, especially in the Railway Station as it was very loud there. The ticket to Livraria Lello does not allow you to skip the line, so be prepared. It does, however, get you an $8 discount on a purchase. The tour guide holds on to it (discount) so you have to find her amongst the 100s of people in the bookstore to come to the counter with you. Nevertheless, the bookstore is beautiful & so were the views from the bridge, cable car, & boat. Be prepared to share the boat with tourists from other tour groups aside from yours & the hard wooden chairs at the front of the boat.
