My name is João, a local surfer from Porto with three decades of surfing under my belt. As a well-travelled surfer and a former international competitor, I now manage ‘Surf Coaching Porto’. I have been a certified Surf Coach, as accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, since 1998, and I will be your guide, no exceptions!

I have experience mentoring local surfers and instructing foreigners on the basics of surfing and developing their surfing talents. In addition, I cooperate with the World Surf League as a Surf Guide, facilitating surf training camps in Porto and leading international surf excursions.
