Excellent, fun and educational experience. - Juan is an excellent teacher, very personal and all and all very nice guy. My daughter and I were both beginners and we feel like we know more than enough to continue surf with confidence.

5 Stars - Amazing for beginners! - I was a bit nervous given my first time surfing, but the instructors really knew what they were doing and made me feel comfortable and confident! You get a lot of time in the water to practice and the instructors really critique and help you as you go. The pictures also turned out amazing at the end. Would recommend for anyone looking to try surfing in the Porto area!

Surfing lesson experience - Booked and went for the morning session with João. It was my first time surfing however with Joãos surfing background and excellent training I was able to pick up the sport and catch some decent waves. Would defo recommend to anyone looking to surf and learn as unlike other big schools you get more personal 1 to 1 feedback which was extremely helpful. Thankyou João!

Amazing Experience - My friends and I had an incredible time surfing! The instructors were very patient with us as we were all first timers, and provided everything from wetsuits to surfboards. Highly recommend!

BOOK WITH THEM! RECOMMEND! - MUST DO!! had so much fun surfing and instructors were a blast. They were funny, helpful, and wanted you to have the best experience. Going back tomorrow to do it again. For the price too you can’t beat it!

Great surf time in Porto! - Fantastic surfing adventure with knowledgable and charming instructor. Had great times and also included surf videos of myself. The surfing class lasted 30 minutes beyond what was advertised. I couldn't be happier!

Best place to go if you want to learn how to surf! - I highly recommend Joao and Surf Coaching Porto! I spent a year in Porto and regularly took lessons with Joao throughout that time. From the very first lesson, I could immediately tell that it was different from other surf schools. The focus here is on quality and attention to detail, both in teaching and equipment. If you're looking to learn how to surf with good technique, this is the place to be. Joao doesn't mind if the lesson goes over the scheduled time; he's more concerned about everyone having a great surf session. He truly helped me in making significant progress and becoming a confident and independent surfer. The small class sizes and emphasis on individual learning and progression is what makes Surf Coaching Porto unique!

Great time with amazing fun instructors - We had a great time with Joao and Rui in a small group of 6. They were amazing instructors and lots of fun! Everyone got up standing on waves and had a good laugh. Great technique training and awareness of safety

I cant say the worst experience because the instructor doesnt even bother to show up!!! - I booked this surf, and I arrived pick up destination half an hour earlier and try to reach the guy until 10 min passes than the starting time. He didnt response to my messages and i contacted directly to support center to get his number. When I called he said I thought you wouldnt come!! I was shocked, so he was super irresponsible and tried to blame me not informing that i am coming. If you got a ticket and confirmation why would you do that? So basically he didnt bother to come probably because i was the only one who booked and said it was %50 my fault that I didnt called him to say im coming. I took all the way from the center to learn this very last moment. He said there is no waves and im not responsible for the nature which is the worst defense ive ever heard because yes you can not be responsible for the nature but you are responsible for informing me. He said wait for 2 hours maybe i can find someother people and you can surf with us. I was so pissed off and said ok I will wait another few hours but i will also write a review about that. This made him go crazy and started shouting on me and shot the phone on my face. So basically my last day is ruined by a man who is lazy enough to not bother that he doesnt wanna do his job and wanna inform me at all. Dont ever book this. There is nice places around, you will figure out a trustworthy school once you arrive there.
