- Lagoa do Fogo - One of the largest and highest lakes in the Azores.
- Caldeira Velha Environmental Interpretation Centre - (Optional) Please note that entrance fees for the thermal pools are not included in the tour. However, we can arrange a stop at Caldeira Velha if you have booked it on your own. Just inform the guide after your pick-up. If you decide to book, the recommended time slot for Caldeira Velha in the morning is 10:30 am, and for the afternoon tour, it is 3 pm.

Experience first-hand evidence of volcanic activity in the quaint town of Ribeira Grande in Caldeiras. Select either a morning or afternoon outing upon booking, with hotel transportation included. Optional: Pay a visit to the Caldeira Velha, featuring a thermal waterfall and a natural pond for swimming.
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels can be accommodated, provided the passenger is accompanied by someone who can help them board and disembark
- A small amount of walking is involved (for specific view points) if accepted by client.

Great tour and tour guides! - Our family, group of 12 people ranging from 1 year old to 74 years old, went on a
Half-Day Jeep Tour from Ponta Delgada - Lagoa do Fogo today.
We had an amazing time. The ride was very comfortable, the tour guides were all top notch! They were very friendly, kind, and super informative. We had several different abilities (infants to people with joint problems) and they accommodated for everyone so they could experience all aspects of this tour!
We were able to access parts of the island that we would have never been able to experience! We would recommend them 100%!

Terrific tour! - We had a terrific tour with Mariano. We had rented a car and driven around the island the day before, but he took us on back roads and shortcuts that we would not have known about. He also added a personal touch to the geologic and cultural history of the island. He was so kind, knowledgeable and funny. It would not have been the same without him as the guide!
Through no fault of the tour company, the lake was shrouded in fog so we couldn't see it, but it was still a great tour with other sights.
Would highly recommend and ask for Mariano!

Excellent experience. Highly recommend - Tour guide, Miguel was excellent. Fog prevented a clear view of the lagoa, but he pivoted and showed us other interesting sights. We will tour with him on our next visit to S Miguel.

Wonderful half day activity to see Lake Fogo (and other little gems) - An awesome tour! Our guide Telmo was so lovely and personable, funny and super knowledgable with lots of little fun stories about the Azores - the perfect guide! He tailored our trip to the rainy morning and it really felt that he was happy doing it and was not rushing us at all. It was a perfect half day activity and would highly recommend it (and especially Telmo)!
