Quinta Do Barbusano - This tour will take you to Madeira’s most beautiful vineyards in São Vicente, Northwest of Madeira. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes where cliffs, mountains, forest, and cultivated terraces melt harmoniously. This is a perfect symbiosis between culture and nature. Regardless of the amazing scenery, we will visit producers on the south and north side of the island and try the most relevant types of wine. From the worldwide famous fortified Madeira Wine to table wines and homemade using traditional grape varietals and processes.
For lunch break, we can have a snack or a typical meal in a non-touristy restaurant.
Because these are unique tours, customized to each guest, other stops and options with more surprises will be suggested to add to your tour. Please bring a fully charged camera, the diversity in terms of the landscape it’s simply mindblowing, and with a panoramic roof, anytime can be a photo time. - Cabo Girao - A glass-bottom platform, 600 meters above sea level with dazzling views from a dramatic coastline.
- Seixal Natural Pool - I will take you to some less know Vulcanic rock pools in Seixal with possibilities of swimming
- Henriques & Henriques - We will visit a cellar where we can learn about the aging process of the Madeira Fortified Wines and taste at least 6 Madeira wines
- Miradouro da Encumeada - When the weather allows, in this place we can admire both north and south views from a 1000 meter high sightseeing point

I consider myself fortunate to do something I truly enjoy professionally, and you’ll notice this in the enthusiasm and fervor I bring to every tour, along with the insights I’ll share with you. Over time, I’ve explored this island and its secret locations, its inhabitants, their tales, and our historical legacies that will keep us entertained during our journey. The wine will serve as the icing on the cake, making this panoramic tour even more memorable as we explore the northern and southern regions of the island. Rest assured, this is a different experience than the usual wine tours crowded with visitors in a vineyard all day. For this experience, we’ll steer clear of hustle and bustle and you can expect several delightful surprises between our wine tasting sessions.
The specified pickup time is flexible. Tourists can customize the pickup timing as per their convenience, given that it aligns with the guide’s availability.
IMPORTANT: Please be aware that this tour is only operable from Tuesday to Friday. As certain vineyards/cellars are not open to public on Mondays, on weekends, and bank holidays.

Excellent tour guide. 👍 - If I could give Val a 10 I definitely would. I wanted a “personal” experience wine trip. Not similar to that which I could get on a “bus” excursion but one that incorporated wine and sightseeing that wasn’t the herd mentality. If you’re looking for a tour guide who really knows his stuff, increases your knowledge of the people and culture of Madeira besides showing you a fabulous itinerary book with Val. I highly recommend and would definitely hire again.

Highlight of Trip! - Couldn't recommend this trip more. Had the best time with Val! He not only brought us to the wineries but also a bunch of great sight seeing spots. He was kind and informative even after our day trip. A must do in Madeira!

great tour! - We really enjoyed the tour with Val. He's kind of a wikipedia of Madeira! We learned so much and we we're wondering if there is anything Val do not know. It was a great time and the whole day was so much fun! He showed us so many places, we never would visited ourself and furthermore gives us tips for the next days. We highly recommend this tour!

Unique and Beautiful Experience - This was the highlight of our visit to Madeira. Aside from the beautiful scenery, Val made the experience truly unique - he’s very knowledgeable about the history of the island, as well as nature and the diverse landscapes. We were able to take backroads away from the main tourist areas and see places that we likely would not have found on our own.

Excellent Madeira tour - We really enjoyed this tour with Val! He is a great guy to spend a day exploring Madeira with. Great guide ! - We had an exciting and colorful ride with Val. He took us in his open air jeep which allowed us to feel immersed in the beautiful environment. He was extremely accommodating to a last minute change in our circumstances. He was very knowledgeable about Madeira wine production and loves his island home. He found out of the way places to show us.
I couldn’t give him a stronger recommendation.

Two Thumbs Up to Val! - Val was an excellent tour guide and host. Our day was filled with conversation on the history and heritage of the region. We also were treated to out-of-the way wineries in north and central Madeira. He also made sure that we experienced Madeira wine and Poncha. He was very accommodating in our day, allowing us to explore small trails, beaches and shore lines. It was the best way to experience most of the island in a day. Thanks Val!

Fantastic day tour! - We enjoyed a fantastic, memorable day with Val who adapted the trip to include not just excellent wine tasting but other experiences we wanted to incorporate as well. We walked along a levada, went to a lovely non touristy beach and saw some stunning scenery. Val was great with communication, punctual and gave us some recommendations post tour which we followed up on during our remaining time on the island. We loved Madeira and our trip with Val was the highlight especially driving off road and a delicious Poncha at a lovely authentic bar at he end. Thanks Val - we recommend you 100% and will be in touch when we return !

Great way to experience Madeira - It was a full day with Val, our host, sharing useful information on the Island’s history in a very engaging way. We were never rushed and enjoyed the wine tasting, swimming and drive around the island.
