Perfect guide and tour in the Azores - Perfect tour and guide. We were lucky enough to have Andy (owner of the company) who is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about the island and just plain genuinely friendly. I cannot recommend his service and company enough. They are the only company to use if you are visiting the Azores for a day or for a week or for a lifetime !

Wonderful shore excursion. - Andy picked us up right at the cruise port and we had a great day experiencing some of what the island had to offer. Interesting sites, good food and beautiful scenery. He's a great guide and highly recommend this tour.

Simply exquisite! - Our guide, Andy, was very personable and gave us lots of Azorean history, culture and traditions throughout the day. He drove us up into the mountain (volcano) and dropped us off to have an hour leisurely walk enjoying the beautiful lake. Showed us several thermal activity sites, one in particular where local restaurants cook their food for the day. We went to Terra Nostra for the gorgeous gardens and to enjoy the warm mineral bath and then off to lunch at a great local restaurant Tony’s for a 3 course amazing lunch! One of the best excursions we have experienced - definitely would use him again while visiting the Azores!!

Enjoy the Azores with THIS tour! - Highly...highly...highly recommend this tour!! Andy was professional, full of knowledge, and eager to make this experience everything we were hoping for. We soaked in the thermal spring, drank the local tea, ate the authentic lunch, and left the Azores feeling like we had a new friend. Want to come back and see more soon!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE - We booked Azores Connections to take care of planning our honeymoon and this was one of the events that we booked. We cannot possibly describe how wonderful this experience with Andy was. He took care of everything! He picked us up from our hotel, gave us a private tour of Furnas, the hot springs, the gardens, and gave us our very own water sommelier course. Andy is incredibly knowledgeable about the island, the volcanic activity, the history, etc. This experience is truly a VIP experience and when we come back to the Azores we will be sure to use this company EVERY time.

Outstanding Tour - Perfect day tour and a great sample of the Azores. Hiking, soaking in the thermal bath, eating lunch cooked in the volcanic steam and visiting a tea plantation. Andy is engaging and informative, as well as a lot of fun. We look forward to returning for a longer stay and working with Andy again.

You HAVE to book with Azores Connections! - “Wow!” “Incredible!” “This is fantastic!!” These are phrases that I literally repeated all day as Andy showed us around the island. My fiancée and I were visiting Sao Miguel to celebrate my birthday and our recent engagement and Andy made this trip magical. Andy was attentive, accommodating, and made sure that my partner and I were enjoying ourselves. Having only been a resident to the island for the last few years, Andy was knowledgeable about Azorean culture and was able to provide a thorough description of every part of the island that we visited. He was prompt on picking us up from our hotel and made sure we had enough time at each stop. He also was personable and kind. Additionally, the weather was perfect on the day of our tour —we couldn’t ask for a better day. The walk around the lake was serene, the dip in the thermal springs was relaxing, the cozido was so filling, and the overall drive around the island was breathtaking. Everything was meticulously planned and well thought out. Our pictures certainly don’t do the landscape justice, as the views were simply heavenly. Throughout the tour, Andy was able to answer any queries we had and shared lots of “off the beaten path” options to truly take in the majestic environment of the Azores islands. Although we only took part in the day tour, I would recommend Andy (and his wife) to construct an itinerary for a full vacation here due to their knowledge and their desire to support Azorean culture and business! Highly recommend!!
