Founded in 1971 to preserve the region’s biodiversity and traditions. Let us introduce to Peneda-Geres National Park.

Beginning the journey in Porto or and always with the greatest comfort we will head towards the national Park.

Behold wild animals such as the horse Garrano, the deer and who knows…, even the famous Iberian Wolf.

Once you book, we will get back to you and create your program according to your preferences.

We can have a nice family day with smooth transfers and easy hikes to calm lakes… or more demanding treks for hiking lovers!

You can choose to spend your day hiking, swimming in lakes, bathing in waterfalls or visiting traditional villages.

A great way to see Peneda-Gerês National Park - Carlos was very friendly and informative. He also was able to pick us up at our accommodation and was on time. We appreciated his attentiveness, expert driving skills and being flexible based on our interests. The views of the park were amazing and we definitely appreciated Carlos’s knowledge. We wouldn’t have wanted to drive the very narrow and curvy roads on our own. The lunch was also delicious!

Unexpected beautiful mountain experience - Thank you, Marco, for giving us a great experience! Springs, waterfalls, the green lake, breathtaking views, interesting stories and a nice walk through the nature that definitely replaced the need to go to the gym :-). Great tour with Detours and Pedro - My wife and I had a great time touring the National Park with Pedro. He was a fantastic host. Pedro took us to one beautiful location after another and filled in all the details about the park while driving or hiking to each. The park was very busy but each location we visited Pedro knew a less crowded spot or access route, whether it was four wheeling to the hike or choosing a pool used by only a few people. Highly recommend this guided tour/hike/swim with Pedro and Detours.

The greatest trip I made from Porto - It was very well organized, we could decide about how long we want to spend in each place. The lunch was very tasty, we were able to swim a lot. We were not in a rush but saw a lot of places. The guide Américo was very nice and helpful all the time. I strongly recommend the trip.

Highlight of our trip! - The entire day was a blast! Our guide Maia was a total joy. He greeted us with a big smile in the morning, and the day got better from there. We were a group of 7, and everyone had a wonderful day. He made multiple stops and never made us feel rushed at all. He felt like part of our group all day, and we will look him up again if we are ever lucky enough to return to Portugal.

A beautiful trip to Natur and swimming spots in Geres national park - We went to the Geres Park on a really hot day in July, so of course wanted to swim in the beautiful spots, but also hike a bit and see the landscape. Marco, our guide, did just that, asking us what we wanted and then taking us there, with extremely good service and a smile every step of the way. He knows about the flora and fauna on the national park, knows the routes very well ( we never went the same way back to the car we took to get to a spot), and turned it all into a lovely experience. The park is breathtakingly beautiful, well worth the trip, and a private experience makes sure it delivers what it says, a trip tailored to your wishes, like Marco did today. When yous son says “I want to jump into this river and the guide says “Not here, put on your shoes, I’ll take you” you know you are in good hands.

Fun in Geres - We had a BLAST! We were a family of 8 with 4 kids ages 10-13 and we all loved our day with Marco! He made sure we had enough time to do what we wanted and guided us on the most beautiful hike to a waterfall. We highly recommend Marco and the Geres National Park Tour.

Amazing experience in Geres! - my experience was amazing! The guides Hernán Aguirre and Tomas were very friendly, they made us feel very comfortable, the group felt as if we were all friends. The guides looked for the best places for us to visit, we bathed in beautiful waterfalls, they gave us a lot of information about Geres, we had time to take photos, the food that was included in the tour was very delicious and quite filling. In our group there were two children and the guides were incredible with them. I am really happy with the experience, grateful to the guides for their kindness and friendliness! I definitely recommend them and I will take a tour with them again.

Parque Gerês - The place, spectacular, the Guide very good, friendly. BUT, the promotion by the company could have been more specific: there are places inaccessible for children and senior citizens, you get off at three beaches (must-have swimsuit, not suggested a day before) then one chooses to go the same to enjoy the place, or another activity.
