We journey west to the enchanting destination of Rabaçal in Calheta, from where we commence a three-hour hike (roughly) through a lush evergreen forest, offering wonderful vistas and delightful experiences. This trek allows us to enjoy breathtaking waterfalls, intricately craved into old valleys, natural springs, and native species of plants and animals (within the Laurissilva Forest). Post the hike, there is an opportunity for a lunch stop (not included in package) at a traditional Madeiran restaurant in Paúl da Serra, the largest plateau on the island standing nearly 1500 metres tall with mesmerising views. Following that, we have an exciting downhill off-road to the South Coast. Proceeding along the coastline, we visit Cabo Girão, renowned for its glass-bottomed lookout that offers a sweeping view of the Atlantic, Câmara de Lobos and Funchal. Finally, we take the oldest roads to Câmara de Lobos, a historic fishing village in Madeira with fascinating customs and history.
