A Great Day for Wine Lovers! - You will not find a more authentic tour of the vinho verde region anywhere else. We stopped at two very different, and very unique vineyards with knowledgeable, warm and welcoming hosts. The tastings and visits were personalized and we felt that the format of the day allowed for quality time spent at every stop. We highly recommend this tour, and our charming guide Alex, for wine fans looking to broaden their knowledge and palette!

Fantastic Tour of the Vinho Verde Region - Pedro Pedrosa was our tour guide and he provided a perfect tour. There were only the two of us as it was during the slower season of October. We visited two beautiful and private wine estates, hidden away in the serene and breathtaking hills, plus had a delightful lunch of typical regional food and a visit to the cathedral in Amarante. Pedro was very informative, friendly, and gracious. He has a wonderful sense of humor. By the end of the tour, we felt as if we had toured the area with a friend.

Excellent tour & visit to Vinho Verde region A++ - Beautiful tour - be prepared to walk/hike! Truly a one of a kind experience with this tour. Worth the day trip & back to Porto in time for dinner :)

A delightful day in the Douro Valley - This lovely day out was one of the highlights of our trip to Porto. We visited a small, family-run quinta where we toured the wine-making facilities and tasted the wines, ports and olive oil they produce. All of them were delicious, and lovingly explained. A pleasant lunch at a typical locals’ restaurant was followed by a visit to a beautiful vineyard, producing wonderful organic vinho verde wines. Our driver/guide Pedro was friendly and knowledgeable, and added a lot to a memorable trip.

We spent four great days with Cooltour Oporto! - We participated in a private Porto City with port tour, a private overnight tour to the Vinho Verde region and Douro Valley, and also did the small group tour of Guimaraes and Braga. We loved the wineries they chose. We enjoyed all of our guides! Their knowledge and humor made the days enjoyable and was much appreciated. I highly recommend this company.

Vinho Verde Tour with Pedro = Amazing - We had a fabulous time touring Vinho Verde country with our excellent guide Pedro. We highly recommend this tour for those who love Vinho Verde and want to see beautiful countryside, eat and drink delicious food and wines, and be guided by the friendly and knowledgeable Pedro.

Not to be missed - Prompt pick up which was excellent. Introduced to the other couple already onboard the people carrier, who turned out to great fun and helped make the day. Informative outline of the day Bit of a journey along twisting little roads, way out in the hills absolutely well worth it. First wine tasting, under the vines , stunning scenery drinking some of the regions best wines, another ride through the valley, lunch, plain simple fun, what more do you need oh! and more wine. Second wine tasting in a vineyard in the middle of nowhere, really really in the middle of Portugal Stunning Pedro, our guide made us laugh regaling stories and humours anecdotes. Huge credit to him for his job well done Got to recommend this small group tour. Not to be missed

Vihno Verde made me like white wine ;) - This was a nice little tour to Vinho Verde region. We spent most of our time on the North side of the Douro, which put us at the southernmost area in the Verde region. Our tour guide Luis was great and we had a lovely time. We visited two wineries with a hearty lunch in between. We tried quite a few different vinho verde's (no reds though!) in addition to some Douro style wines, among others. The food portions at lunch were generous and food preferences were well accommodated. I am gluten free and there were some vegetarians/vegans on the tour who were also accommodated easily with their lunch. I'm a red wine drinker usually but I do now have a soft spot for real vinho verde.

Awesome Portuguese Nature - We took the Vinho Verde + Douro tour and it was a very personal trip! Our day was filled with tasty wines, beautiful landscapes and panoramas, we enjoyed the greenery, and had great conversations with the guide-philosopher Luis. A day to taste and savour - This is my 5th "Cool Tour" and I keep coming back for. Our tour guide Pedro was a light-hearted, fun, passionate person who provided out group with the perfect balance of sense of humour and relative facts. Great visits to smaller high-end wineries in the region with delicious tastings, good lunch overall and pretty landscapes. Be warned, this tour does consist of a lot of driving and windy roads - which are all that more difficult when it is hot out. Nonetheless, it is well worth the regional motion-sickness to see such a beautiful part of Portugal with a small-group tour.
