SUPERB LANDSCAPES - There were 6 of us using a tour operator, €125 per person with round trip (1h30 from Rovaniemi), barbecue and walk, it's expensive but...if you rent a car, free parking, free walk without the possibility of getting lost at all is marked. We were lucky to have a superb guide, the tour is 5 km in 2 hours who advised us on certain places to slide on our butts (which earned us some real laughs). The site is magnificent, as are the waterfalls, but the highlight of the show is the forest. Be careful, the route makes a loop (parking lot - parking lot) but the last climb is more than steep!

Excellent guides and a high quality experience - We visited Korouoma National Parks with Helios Tours and our experience was excellent. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, the pick up from our accommodation was very convenient, and they accommodated our dietary requirements (vegan and vegetarian) very well. Highly recommended!

Fantastic hike with wonderful guides - This hike was excellent. The walk was not for the faint of heart - some parts were very slippery ice and very steep but as a group of keen walkers we had an amazing time. The landscape and vistas are wonderful and it was great to get out and about and spend several hours trekking through nature frozen in its majesty all around us. Our guides Lena and Kirill were so warm and knowledgeable, we met as strangers and parted as friends. They kindly provided vegan sausages, biscuits and hot chocolates for us to enjoy around the fire with the other, non-vegan attendees. If you're planning to do this walk, I'd highly recommend going with Helios Tours.

Knowledgeable tour guide.... - Knowledgeable tour guide. The tour could be seen as reasonably difficult for older or less fit people or kids as it can be quite steep in sections. The natural untouched area is beautiful. The BBq around a fire is a nice touch to finish the day.

Vladimir - Word FROZEN is saying a lot about this waterfalls so the best to bi visited is during the winter months. We had a car rented and it turned out that this was a winner. The tour itself its takes couple of hours with a lot of ups and downs and maybe 1.5-3 km into the forest. If you are going with the group(by bus) be ready to be very very patient to wait the last member of your group(especially people who are not in the best shape or older people).Don't get me wrong ...Its a wonderful walk thru the forest and mountain .Even with snow there is a good path.Frozen waterfalls are holiday for your eyes. There is three of them(maybe a couple hundred of meters distance between them) and all different in color. If you are not in the group you have advantage of your own pace.Bring some water or snacks with you, choose your own rhythm and enjoy. If you are staying in Rovaniemi, keep in mind that distance is about some 100+ km.We were enjoying our ride towards Korouroma(taking photos with local fisherman's on the frozen lake, enjoying nature....views).

Half a disappointment. - Many animals are hibernating during this period. Many birds of prey in cages, some animals in the terrariums could not be seen. No trace of the white bear. We saw wolves and lynx, very beautiful to see. It wasn't worth it and I wouldn't go back.
