Experience moderate level hiking at Korouoma, a canyon that stretches 30 kilometers long and plunges down 130 meters deep. This fracture valley, with its towering cliffs, paints a stunning panorama to indulge in throughout the year. It’s nestled in the Koillismaa Region of Southern Lapland, showcasing landscapes of unusual magnificence and vastness. In winters, numerous 30-meter high streams freeze over to create expansive ice formations, casting amazing views and colour dynamics.

The car journey from Rovaniemi is approximately 1.5 hours one way. A picnic featuring hot beverages will be served by an open fire during the trip.

Korouoma is an excellent spot for nature photography all year round.
