The best way to experience the coastline! - A memorable tour of the coastline on a beautiful boat, with divine swimming spots & a nice little stop over in Amalfi town for lunch. Thanks for a great trip Peppe’.

Great Boat Day - Luigi and Giuseppe gave a great tour from Praiano to around the Amalfi Coast. The pickup from our Airbnb was very convenient and the boat was in great condition—it has a bathroom on board! Even with the rain coming for a little bit, we had such a great time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice day trip on the water.

Amalfi Coast by boat….Bellissimo! - It was a great way to see the Amalfi Coast, a well organised and run tour, lots of time for swimming and the points of interest explained, a good amount of time to explore Amalfi have lunch and go shopping or just relax at the beach. We really enjoyed the day and liked that it was a small group and would really recommend it.

Fabulous! - Nice skipper. Beautiful, beautiful boat! Drink on way out and back with a glass of bubbles. Several swim stops and 3 hours in Amalfi to explore. Only 6 on boat. No shoes on board - put them in basket.

Grumpy captain couldn’t spoil sublime views - This boat tour was a great way to visit Amalfi and admire the mind-boggling beauty of the coast. There was plenty of room for the dozen passengers and free snacks and drinks were offered. However, the charter company, Plaghia, should hire a tour guide in addition to a boat captain. Our captain, Giuseppe, was clearly someone who doesn’t like people very much—especially tourists. He never smiled once and now and then he grudgingly spouted a few memorized lines about what we were seeing in barely comprehensible English. I’d say we maybe caught 10% of what he said. It didn’t make for a festive atmosphere, but at least he was a competent boat driver.

It was a beautiful day, but seemed rushed/no patience/no swimming. - It was a beautiful day! The boat was nice and spacious. We had 4 hours in capri. They did not offer champagne until close to being back. Not much information was given besides the two grottos we stopped at. We also stopped at the blue grotto, but again it seemed they did not want to wait for people to do it. They tried steering everyone away because of the price of it. He said only 6 in our group wanted to do it, so we weren’t waiting. When actually there was around 12 of us that wanted to do it. We were told we would swim on our way back, but it seemed they did not want to stop again. They never offered a swim stop on the way back. They are also extremely serious about being back on time. We waited for over 30 minutes for our bus in capri to get us back to the port (5-10min drive). We figured 30 was plenty of time. We ended up being 10 minutes late and were told they were going to leave us there. They did end up waiting but another couple came after us and we had just pulled away & they almost didn’t stop for them. Overall, it was a good day. It just seemed they wanted to get there and get back. It was also their last boating day of the season.

Nice tour at a lower price - Pros: the operator was very nice and they gave us Prosecco at the end. Allowed us to swim at two locations. Cons: the tour was very hard to hear due to a heavy accent. Some people got a snack, looked like it was just crackers. The boat was okay.

Disappointing and Scary - The scenery was lovely. However, Guiseppe the skipper was unfriendly and obviously uninterested in anyone on board that did not speak Italian. My husband and I paid over $400 Australian for this and could not understand a word he was saying. Despite a visit to the Emerald Grotto as part of the tour we did not visit as our guide guilted the passengers to reach a consensus to skip. He was guided by the Italian speaking passengers. I badly injured myself getting off the boat at Amalfi. No concern was given and Giuseppe seemed irritated asking me what I needed as I was bleeding profusely. I was then left in Amalfi for three hours. This was hell, as there were so many tourists that I did not feel safe. What an awful tourist trap and stopover. I cried so much. On the way back Giuseppe obviously realised how slippery the edge of the boat was and had now placed a towel. He was then very over friendly toward me despite ignoring me for the previous part of the journey. He encouraged me to keep everything off my wound despite the flowing of blood in front of the other passengers. Despite Plaghia tours pretending to care about my injury their offer was to call a car to take me to the local hospital 30 minutes away at my expense. The reason I slipped was because the side of the wooden boat was so slippery and the boat was rocking. I am now heading to Florence for medical attention as my wound is deep and I am in pain. I am frightened of infection and my holiday of a lifetime has been tainted. I wish I never went on this tour. Plaghia tours continue to check in as long as we say I am ok and don’t ask them for help. Then we are on our own.
