A tour of Pompeii, Herculaneum, and a visit to a winery offers an intriguing blend of history, archaeology, and wine culture. Pompeii Excavations: Explore the remnants of temples, homes, and streets, appreciating the intricate details that reveal the daily life of ancient Romans. Herculaneum: This lesser-known archaeological site is equally captivating. Herculaneum was buried by the eruption of Vesuvius, but unlike Pompeii, it was primarily covered by ash and lapilli. It was engulfed by a very hot and rapid pyroclastic flow, preserving the buildings remarkably well, with details such as furniture and frescoes remaining intact. During this tour, you may also choose to visit a winery in the area (please note that the winery visit is not included in the tour price). Discover how vineyards are cultivated and enjoy tasting local wines paired with typical Campania cuisine.
