Drawing inspiration from the Way of the Cross pilgrimage, well entrenched in Dol’s traditions, this tour offers an ideal option for travellers, particularly families. Despite its challenges, it’s the least strenuous of our offered hikes.
Setting off from Dol, we bridge into a track historically treaded during the Good Friday morning procession for many centuries. Heading upwards from Dol, we stop at the St. Michael’s church, perched high on a central hill, with a majestic view of the entire village. This medieval Christian basilica has a rich history, dating as far back as the 11th century.
The journey progresses towards Velo Brdo, there we find the ruined small church of Holy Vid before descending back into the village. Reaching the scenic spot at Kučac, we pause to enjoy the breath-taking panorama of Dol and Postira, before making our way back to Dol.
Quality sports or mountain footwear, comfortable sportswear, and plenty of water are essentials for this journey. The entire route spans 5.5 km and usually takes around 2 hours to complete.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
