Interesting and entertaining tour with Winfried - Had a very successful tour with Winfried on June 16, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. With many stories from Potsdam with its kings and emperors. Winfried's expertise is remarkable. One more reason to visit Potsdam more often.

Girls' tour 08.06.2024 - Winfried, you're great, it was a really good and entertaining city tour for us. You really made it very informative and well presented. It was never boring and the four of us girls had a lot of fun with you up front. Thanks also to the bus driver Halil who reserved the best seats for us.

The history of Potsdam entertainingly presented - The tour covered all the points we could imagine wanting to see in Potsdam. We enjoyed the open roof of the bus, being lucky with the weather. What made the tour particularly enjoyable was the guide, Winfried, (NOT the old man!), who filled the 3 1/2 hour trip with amusing anecdotes and encyclopaedic historical knowledge of the Prussian kings. Absolutely to be recommended!

Highly Recommended! - It was also very interesting from a historical perspective, absolutely recommended! I can recommend it to everyone, especially because the places are a bit apart, the bus tour makes sense!

Excellent - Excellent guide. Historian and former banker. Would it be possible to know his name? Very knowledgeable and humorous.

Successful tour - These three hours were time well spent. We were introduced to the history of Potsdam and old Fritz in an interesting, persistent way, with a lot of commitment and incredible knowledge. Our bus driver also contributed to the success of the tour. He adjusted the speed of the bus to suit our tour guide's explanations.

Nice sites but best if you speak German!! - This tour shows you the main sites and castles but l would not recommend it to non-German speaking tourists. The audio on the bus is pretty basic and the guide spent much more time talking in German at the main sites than in English. It is fair enough that this tour is mainly pitched at German speaking tourists but my review is to make this clear to people thinking of talking this tour.

A total disappointment - Nowhere in the world have I found such disregard for those who do not speak the language of the respective country! Although in my headphones I could barely hear a commentary in English from the 8 loudspeakers of the bus, the guide's commentary in German sounded loud and imperative! What to understand? In the places visited, all the comments were ONLY in German, although together with a tourist from Turkey I asked for explanations. The guide dryly told us that the management is aware of the problem but there is nothing they can do about it. He gave us some kind of garbled leaflet in English. And, probably pleased with my comments, she left on the bus exactly 5 minutes before the stated time leaving me to fend for myself. I request the reimbursement of the cost of this embarrassing tour. I recommend non-German tourists to avoid this mock tour.

Only if can understand German language - Thought had booked an English tour. Guide only gave history in English at palace where Churchill and Stalin and American president made negotiations at end of ww2. At other two palaces was all in German and couldn’t understand what was being said. I got lovely pictures. On bus was able to listen to English recording. Advice for people looking for English tour this might not be the one for you.
