Highlights
  • 24Q6+C9 Pounta - During our clay-play activity, we will explore the stages of creating complete ceramics. We’ll discuss different forms and what each participant would like to create. I’ll introduce you to techniques such as pinch pot, coiling, and slab, allowing us to craft a bowl, mug, or any other desired item. We’ll take a break for coffee, fruit juice, or perhaps a dessert, and then continue by trying the pottery wheel. This will involve creating circular forms that can be modified to match each person’s aesthetic preferences. The art of ceramics offers incredible freedom with clay, a highly malleable material that allows for countless forms and brings a sense of peace and calm, much like meditation. Even beginners will enjoy the creative process. With clay, there are no mistakes—everything can be adjusted until we are satisfied with the result. Ceramics require two firings in the kiln, taking about 15 days to complete. Shipping is available, with costs based on the Greek Post office’s price table plus an additional 20% for packing.

SO much fun!!! - We had the BEST time in this class! We went into it with very low expectations of what our final projects would look like, but were extremely proud and happy with the results! We learned about clay, learned two techniques for creating with it, and got to experience using a pottery wheel. I would highly recommend this experience to everyone! Rhea, the instructor, is so experienced, kind, and encouraging!

Fantastic afternoon in Paros - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic few hours learning how to use clay to mould mugs, pots etc. Our teacher was friendly, funny, and charismatic and clearly has a genuine passion for clay making which came across in this session. A particular highlight was learning how to use the wheel which was so much fun! Highly recommend this for any trip to Paros.

A MUST Visit - This was by far the highlight of my Greece trip. It was essentially a private pottery class, as it was only my friend and I and the host, which made for a very personable experience. The host, Sotiria, was so kind, interesting, and inspiring. It was delightful seeing how happy and proud she was of her pottery and her love for the art was radiant. She taught us the basics of hand pottery, then let us have some fun on the wheel. She gave us fresh cake and coffee upon arrival, then homemade fava and ouzo to snack on towards the end of our visit. This is a MUST for your trip to Paros!

Unique and fun activity - The class was just my husband and I, so we really got the intimate and personalized experience! The class was a blast, it would be great if we had something to take home from it but we didn't want to pay ~$60 to ship them back to USA. Fun thing to do if you're in town visiting Paros!
