Highlights
  • Obecní Dům - We’ll meet in the center for your convenience but don’t worry, we won’t stay here for long! Your guide will wait for you in front of the main entrance to the Municipal House, an Art-Nouveau building that houses the famous Smetana Concert Hall as well as a number of wonderful restaurants and wine bars.
  • Masaryčka - Our first stop, a brand new restaurant with a modern take on Czech cuisine.
  • Karlínské náměstí - This square is also a park and it’s the perfect place for locals to hang out in the summer. We’ll check out the great view and than head for food - that’s why we are here in the first place!
  • Invalidovna - You thought Les Invalides, or Invalidovna as we call it in Czech was just in Paris, right? Let us show you this architectural gem and how a certain gentleman’s idea came to life here. Oh and have we mentioned we’re going to it nearby? But you were expecting as much by now, weren’t you?
  • Kasarna Karlin - Karlin Baracks are a true hidden gem in this district, that’s no cliché at all in this. We simply cannot avoid stopping here and showing this stunning courtyard with an amazing cafe/pub (they serve both delish coffee and amazing beer here) right in the center. Let’s try it out, shall we?

Amazing Private Tour - My family of 4 enjoyed the private food tour in Prague with Mr. John. He did an excellent job showing us around Old Town Square and bringing us to different restaurants that were authentic to the culture. The tour felt like we were with a friend rather than a tour guide.

Great - We booked a walking food tour for the day we arrived. Great decision. We got dinner and a good idea of some of the areas. Michaela personally guided our tour. She was engaging and personal. Her selections on where to go were spot on. We subsequently asked for additional help securing a car and driver to get us to Prague and she was happy to help. We would do this tour again without hesitation.

Gem of Prague - My mom and I took this tour with Misa (Michaela) in early August. We had a BLAST! The first stop was for chlebicky, these incredible open faced sandwiches with counter service. Highly recommend the brie and salami, my mom was a fan of the potato salad. Misa kept us walking in the shade on a hot summer day, which I really appreciated. She is so thoughtful and friendly! We spent all of the time talking about food, the history of food, and how that history intersected with the history of Prague. We went to an amazing venue with beef stew and yogurt based coleslaw which lives in my dreams since then. We also had local Czech beer here as the brewery was right outside. :) The ice cream was life changingly creamy, recommend the pistachio or sweet cream. We were getting full at this point but then we got to go to a czech restaurant and eat a trio of delicious things: fermented cheese (don't sleep on this), goulash, and another carrot-based stew with dumplings that I forgot the name of. It had cranberry jelly and whipped cream and sirloin steak; so good, trust me! We had some local wine at this point. We ended with coffee at a local student-led cafe. Overall, we had a blast on this tour and would highly recommend it!

Fabulous tour with great food and a terrific guide. Book the Private Food tour! - Our private food tour of Old Town and Little Quarter was a highlight of our trip to Prague. What a great introduction to Prague and it's beautiful sights. Martin was a fantastic guide - knowledgeable, personable, friendly, passionate about Prague's food, culture and history. We went to three different restaurants, each with their own vibe but all with delicious food. We also tried "snacks" from a bakery along the way. Martin was a wealth of information. We loved his stories. We loved the food selections he made. By the end of the 4 hour tour, we felt like he was a long lost cousin. He felt like family. We travelled with our two daughters (in their 20's). We all highly recommend booking a private food and walking tour with Martin, he is a very gifted guide. Wishing this small tour company much success. Incredible tour with a terrific guide. We can not rave enough about how awesome this tour was.

Culinary highlights with charm - The food tour was one of the best and most personal food tours we have done so far. Our guide Míša put together this tour individually for us and took into account my intolerances. The great thing was that our guide put together the food tour with a mix of traditional and modern Czech cuisine. All the dishes we tried were a highlight. In addition to the cuisine, Míša also gave us an insight into Czech history and we saw some nice buildings along the way. The tour ends in the beautiful Café Orient. An absolute must for every visit to Prague. We can highly recommend this tour.
