HILT Black Light Theater was the only nominated and double-awarded Czech theater group at the International Theater Olympics 2018. Meet the only independent theater group of the “black theater” genre performing in the Czech Republic.
In addition to using elements of modern dance and pantomime, black light theater uses black curtains, a darkened stage and ultraviolet black lighting, along with fluorescent costumes, which create intricate illusions. The author of the show, Theodor Hoidekr, has directed many black theater shows.

Black light theater HILT was founded in 2007 and is therefore the youngest theater company of this genre in Prague. As a result, the show is very new and modern and contains only small elements of the classics. A small cabaret-style theater allows the actors to be in close contact with the audience. The HILT theater calls itself: “The biggest show in the smallest black light theater in Prague.”
