So many different foods and experiences in one tour! - Really excellent way to taste lots of different traditional dishes, explore off the beaten track of Prague and have a lot of fun (and food) while you’re at it. There were two of us and we booked for a Sunday evening tour (5pm - 8pm) as we reckoned we might not need dinner if we were doing this - we were right. Not everything is open on a Sunday but the guide found fantastic alternatives and we still had an incredible experience. Different food we tried (each bullet point was experienced at a different restaurant which we walked to) included: - Knedlin - Dumplings (the almost “arancini” style - but made with potato and flour and a huge number of different fillings flavours - savoury and sweet available) - Open sandwich - again several flavours to try from. Not the most overwhelming of dishes (and did make you start to worry as it’s the second dish of the tour and not the most ‘unusual’) but told this is definitely a traditional typical dish by a Prague resident. Still delicious. - Vetrnik - a small cream filled pastry topped with caramel. Perfect size for a food tour (totally delicious and I will definitely be seeking these out again the next time I’m in Prague). - Final destination - Prague “pub” style restaurant - tried local beer, and several different dishes - beef tartare, cooked meat with vegetable sauce and bread- style dumplings, sausage, pickled cheese - all completely delicious. Overall a fantastic tour with excellent value for money. Many thanks to our wonderful guide Joshan and our guide-in-training Linda. They are both so knowledgeable and fun with fantastic anecdotes and explanations of the food you are eating.

Best food tour! - We were in Prague for three days before we took this tour and thought we had tried out most of the Czech traditionals. We were wrong. Our guide Jo met us and asked what we had tried so far. She brought us to some great local eateries for samples and it was easy to see these establishments were frequented by locals, not tourists. The last stop involved an underground train ride in the U-Bahn. The ticket cost was included and Jo took care of purchasing them. We dined in a local restaurant and drank beer poured by a TapMeister (take the beer tour to learn about this). Jo was kind enough to walk us by the Communist Tower with babies before assisting us back home on the U-Bahn. Don’t miss this one, start hungry.

Great way to start the day - Our guide, Jan, was great! We had two couples in our group and all got along splendidly. We went to authentic spots that we would not have know to go to otherwise and learned about the local food customs and other cultural aspects of the people. Great way to start the day and we were definitely stuffed for the remainder of the day.

Great intro to Czech cuisine with Jo - Jo was very friendly and energetic even though we were a small group, and showed us some aspects of prague not directly related to food. I really appreciated her enterprise. We initially items (dumplings, very good, open face sandwich (ok) and dessert (ok). But the highlight was (I think) a Lokal restaurant where there were many locals and a loud atmosphere, and we had some traditional appetizers, entree, and beer. Overall a great introduction to Czech cuisine.
