A must see in Prague! - A great experience. The palace is full of history and ornate rooms. Well worth the visit. The place seemed very accessible.

un-misable. - Amazing history and views. Once you have climbed the longest amount of steps getting to the Castle and its vast complex you will not be disappointed with the results.

We enjoyed visiting the... - We enjoyed visiting the castle. The location was easy to find, but we got confused on how you can pass through the castle area without an entry ticket to the whole area and ended up walking way father than needed.

Heck! Get it Right!!! - Horrible coordination on site today. Bought the combo Prague Castle and Lobkowicz Palace. Instead of receiving tickets we received a PDF that would enable us to „redeem tickets from EITHER of two „Redemption points. 1. Prague Castle OR. 2. Lobkowicz Palace. Arriving at Prague Castle we wasted well over an hour waiting in the into line, ticket line trying to determine where our Prague Castle RP was! From “look for ppl with white umbrellas” to “go to Golden lane” it wasn’t till after all this that someone said we could ONLY obtain tickets at Lobkovicz Palace, we could have saved ourselves over an hour.

Not worth time or money. Walk-in free to see exterior of cathedral, then leave. - Purchased "skip the line" entrance ticket on TripAdvisor's Viator website. Arrived at Castle early about 8:30 a.m. to miss the crowds of tourists, only to find that the location to get the ticket voucher didn't open until 10:00. The ticket pick-up location was difficult to find. There was no signage identifying it. We had to ask multiple Palace information docents where it was. None of this info was posted on their Viator webpage. It would have been easier and faster for us to go to the onsite Castle admissions/information office and purchase our entry ticket there. This Viator advance ticket gave us admission to 4 places: (1) Palace central hall - Waited in line 1 hour to see annual display of crown jewels - only 3 items - in huge but unadorned hall. (2) Interior of cathedral - stained glass windows are beautiful but of contemporary design; access to the bell tower was closed. (3) Lobkowicz Museum contained multiple rooms of boring family oil portraits and table settlings; best thing was a collection of musical instruments AND Beethoven's original handwritten musical scores. (4) Golden Lane, along one side of castle wall, was the most interesting thing at the Castle - a short street of tiny, medieval houses with period furnishings; an upper floor displayed medieval weapons and armor; the dungeon displayed torture instruments. Overall, Prague Castle is the fortress wall with entry gate/towers, a huge central court with smaller courtyards radiating off, the cathedral, and an unimpressive garden. The signage telling you what's what and where is AWFUL - like non-existent. There are numerous eating places, if you happen to stumble upon them. But those too have limited signage and are not particularly beckoning. Information provided no maps of the place and I never saw a QR code to describe anything. At no charge, you can walk into the castle courtyard and grounds and experience the exterior and size. For me, that would have been good enough. It's a shame since this if supposedly one of Prague's proud jewels.

Buying this voucher online will not save you time nor money - I am hoping that sharing my experience will help you. Buying this ticket online has absolutely no benefits. Please read the reasons. 1) The entire area is the working offices of the President ( and/or Prime Minister). So it can be closed to the public with short notice. That is why you cannot buy the ticket online from the property. I got an email from Viator the day before I had my voucher that the entire palace was closed to the public due to a state visit. I do not blame Viator for this; they have not been given advance notice for security reasons. Be aware. If that happens, you will not get a refund. You either have to go a day before or a day after. I was lucky that I had a free day the day after and rearranged my plans. If you have a full schedule or are leaving the next day, that may not be possible. 2) The purchase online will not save you any time or money. You still have to stand in line up to exchange your voucher for a ticket. 3) Prague Castle and Lobkowicz Palace are operated separately. I stood in line at the Prague castle to be told they knew nothing about the voucher. They sent me to Lobkowics Palace, which opens an hour later. By the time I got my ticket, Prague Castle, which had opened an hour earlier, had sold lots of tickets, and the lineup everywhere was long. I did a tour of Lobkowicz Palace and had to return their audio. I was told if I wanted the audit for the castle, then I had to stand up in the long line up at the Prague Castle ( where I was in earlier that day) Conclusion: Show up at the Prague castle early ( before 9 am). Buy your ticket and audio and start your day.

Bad experience - The confirmation email didn’t clearly instruct where to redeem the tickets. We were so frustrated with finding the ticket redeem place. It took us quite a lot of time walking inside out the complex.
