Audio guide-really helpful personal reflection of events. - For me the best part was being 'guided' around (by audio guide) the Palace by a member of the Lobkowicz family. Hearing his take on events that I'd seen on News bulletins over the last 55 years was so helpful.

This visit is highly recommended! - The buildings visited were very rewarding. We learned a lot about history! There is also a beautiful view! Highly recommended!

Inspiring - It was a little confusing to find the ticket office, but our names were in the computer. The cathedral was worth it!

We enjoyed visiting the... - We enjoyed visiting the castle. The location was easy to find, but we got confused on how you can pass through the castle area without an entry ticket to the whole area and ended up walking way father than needed.

Be sure to confirm opening and closing times specifically for the castle - On the Prague Castle website I asked the hours for the castle and it said they close at 22:00 but that is just the outer area. The castle and other buildings close between 5:00 and 6:00. We arrived around 4:00 but the Uber driver didn’t know where the ticket gate was so we wandered. We found a ticket office but it wasn’t the right ticket office - that happened twice. We stopped to ask, half of the employees were dismissive and half were lovely and helpful. We were allowed to enter the palace 15 minutes before closing but we were not able to see the castle. I’ve been before in the middle of the day without issue. It is worth your time.

Rude staff, lack of organisation - We arrived at the place with the tram service which was fantastic throughout our visit and then everything went pear shaped .As we passed though the entrance we couldn’t find the ticket redemption point and when my husband went to ask a staff member that worked at the gallery they were very rude to him and sent him to the wrong guide because they didn’t want to bother helping him. After wondering for an hour my husband went to Lobkowitz palace and finally managed to get the physical tickets that allowed us to visit the attractions. The signposts were only in Chech and when we visited the cathedral we realised that we had to pay extra if we wanted an audio guide,I was furious .The organisation of the place was non existent and the attitude of the staff was absolutely terrible-the only thing they managed to organise was the turnstiles that blocked toilet access unless you paid to use them or you had a receipt of your ticket with the GOLDEN number that allowed you access .Lobkowitz palace was better organized but the staff in reception was again very rude -nobody seems to want to help tourists but they sure want their money ….We had to come back the day after to finish the visits and we didn’t really enjoy visiting the cathedral, they were hardly any signs explaining the exhibits and it felt like we were wondering around aimlessly.Overall the experience was mediocre due to the awful staff and lack of organisation.i wouldn’t go back even though the actual castle was beautiful.

Buy Tickets at the Castle directly - After entering the tourist information office and waiting in line for 15 minutes, we were informed that it was not the correct place to pick up our tickets. We walked for another 10 minutes through the Castle to the Palace area. The instructions were not clear on where to get the tickets.
Probably better for visitors to buy your tickets directly at the Castle so you can make a decision on what you would like to visit within the castle complex which is really big. The tourist office did not offer maps, therefore very difficult to work out where everything was.

Not worth time or money. Walk-in free to see exterior of cathedral, then leave. - Purchased "skip the line" entrance ticket on TripAdvisor's Viator website. Arrived at Castle early about 8:30 a.m. to miss the crowds of tourists, only to find that the location to get the ticket voucher didn't open until 10:00. The ticket pick-up location was difficult to find. There was no signage identifying it. We had to ask multiple Palace information docents where it was. None of this info was posted on their Viator webpage. It would have been easier and faster for us to go to the onsite Castle admissions/information office and purchase our entry ticket there.
This Viator advance ticket gave us admission to 4 places: (1) Palace central hall - Waited in line 1 hour to see annual display of crown jewels - only 3 items - in huge but unadorned hall. (2) Interior of cathedral - stained glass windows are beautiful but of contemporary design; access to the bell tower was closed. (3) Lobkowicz Museum contained multiple rooms of boring family oil portraits and table settlings; best thing was a collection of musical instruments AND Beethoven's original handwritten musical scores. (4) Golden Lane, along one side of castle wall, was the most interesting thing at the Castle - a short street of tiny, medieval houses with period furnishings; an upper floor displayed medieval weapons and armor; the dungeon displayed torture instruments.
Overall, Prague Castle is the fortress wall with entry gate/towers, a huge central court with smaller courtyards radiating off, the cathedral, and an unimpressive garden. The signage telling you what's what and where is AWFUL - like non-existent. There are numerous eating places, if you happen to stumble upon them. But those too have limited signage and are not particularly beckoning. Information provided no maps of the place and I never saw a QR code to describe anything.
At no charge, you can walk into the castle courtyard and grounds and experience the exterior and size. For me, that would have been good enough. It's a shame since this if supposedly one of Prague's proud jewels.

Not a skip the line ticket! - .I am sure part of the problem was that i must not have read all of the instructions, but usually when I get tix on viator, i get a voucher or code to use for entrance—avoid the line ticket. This was not the case and the address provided was not sufficient. I waited in a line for the guest services office only to discover that I was at the wrong guest services office and the one I needed was a lengthy block away. Did I mention the cold misty rain?

Palace not a Palace .ballache - Right the castle and surrounding beautiful. Getting there not so and spent 2 hours going from pillar to post looking for where to get tickets! This really spoilt the trip as cold and wet. It was very busy and would've been lot more enjoyable if knew where to get tickets from sooner. That being said the castle is beautiful and the 4 places the ticket allows you in are lovely. Just general public are rude and constantly pushing/cutting in front of you no manners
