Great experience with Petr! - We had an exceptional experience with Petr on our private tour of Auschwitz. The 4-hour drive was incredibly relaxing, thanks to his excellent driving and calming presence. Petr provided us with comprehensive background and history, sharing insights that enriched our visit while also giving us time to rest and reflect. He was incredibly attentive to our needs throughout the day, ensuring we were comfortable and well-cared for. As for the tour itself, Petr could not provide the tour as they have dedicated staff to do that. He made sure we were part of the right group etc...Visiting Auschwitz was an experience that I knew would be emotionally challenging, but it was also an important journey that we felt compelled to undertake. The tour was incredibly well-organized, providing a respectful and educational environment to learn about one of the darkest chapters in human history. From the moment we arrived, the somber atmosphere was palpable. Our guide was knowledgeable and compassionate, carefully explaining the historical context while also conveying the deep human suffering that occurred here. Walking through the barracks, gas chambers, and crematoria was a harrowing experience. Seeing the remnants of personal belongings, such as suitcases, shoes, and eyeglasses, was particularly heart-wrenching. It was difficult to process the sheer scale of the atrocities committed, but the tour helped to provide a deeper understanding of the magnitude of the Holocaust.Despite the difficulty of the experience, we are grateful for the opportunity to have visited Auschwitz. It is a place that forces you to confront the worst of humanity, but also to remember the resilience of those who suffered. The tour serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of remembering history so that we can strive to ensure that such horrors are never repeated. On the way back, Petr balanced great conversation with giving my wife and me the time to relax and unwind. The stops at Orlen were a nice touch, especially because of the delicious hot dogs! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide for such an important and moving experience. Highly recommended! Hope to give Petr a ride in the E46 one day 😀

A difficult topic, but a must to experience - Petr was an outstanding driver and was a wealth of information. The tour itself at Auschwitz was good, but Petr's information was great. He was very personable and engaging. Thank you for getting us to Poland and back to Prague safely! Auschwitz is a somber place, but a must see to bear witness to the horrific acts that took place during the Holocaust.

Amazing is very way - Petr was amazing!!! He helped my mom and I every step of the way! He even made sure my mother that just had a fall had a wheelchair the whole time. I couldn’t ask for a better tour guide. The camp was very humbling and we can’t describe how it made us feel. I would rate this 100 stars if I could.

Auschwitz Tour with Petr 100% Recommended - We took this tour early May with Petr and can't speak highly enough of both Petr and Lucy Tours. From the time of booking communication was prompt and everything ran like clockwork on the day. The vehicle provided was extremely clean and comfortable and chatting with Petr made the 4-5 hr drives fly by. Petr is an outstanding guide and a very kind man who went the extra mile to assist when I felt unwell. He is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions, and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with him. A visit to Auschwitz is a sobering experience but absolutely worthwhile.

Incredible and impactful experience - Trip was amazing and incredibly impactful. My driver Petr arrived early for a 0400am trip to Auschwitz. He was ver accommodating and vehicle was perfect for the nearly 4.5 hour drive to and from the memorial. He was extremely informative and greatly appreciated his onsite on the trip there and ability to answer all my questions on my return. Auschwitz was beyond my expectations and a place many should visit. The tour was very informative and at a good pace. You will see things that will forever change you

A long but very meaningful day. - We knew this would be a long day, but Petr, our driver and guide made the drive seem much shorter than expected. Petr was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of each of countries in the region, the history of the two world wars, and their aftermath. He also had provide translation during the actual tour. All went smoothly, and the impact of the experience was meaningful and will be with us for life. Thanks for the great experience.

Go for the Museum but be Mindful of Safety with Driver - Family of 4. We were picked up a little before 04:00 by Michal and given 1 bottle of water each. The drive to Auschwitz wasn't good overall because he was speeding up to 145km/hr in many instances. The drive back was worse since it also rained and the speeding kept on (up to 150km/hr). The description of this "private guided tour" is misleading as the only private thing was the drive. There was no information on Prague as other reviewers experienced with another driver, nor was there a private tour at the museum. They buy your museum tickets once you get to Auschwitz. We got there at 08:30 and the next available walking tour for our language (with a guide from the museum that walks a group of ~15-20 people) was at 10:45. Over 2 hours waiting at the outside part of the museum with very little seating available and only vending machines for food and drinks. The actual museum tour guide was phenomenal and made the experience as best as possible given the circumstances of the location and history. The entrance for 4 people was around $102 and was paid by LucyTours (from the over USD $1,200 we had already pre-paid). I wanted someone else to drive us so we could rest on they way there and back. But having experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during the drive, I would just rent a car and drive my family there myself as none of us got to rest. We would have saved a lot of money and would have felt much safer during the drive. I will add that Michal was always cordial and nice, but his driving was way too fast with continuous speeding, zig zagging, not being mindful during the rain, etc. In conclusion, go to the museum but ask who your driver will be first. I wouldn't have written this extensive review if I weren't seriously worried about the safety of others.
