Memorable and just unbelievable - Petr was great! He had an immense amount of knowledge and prepared us for the day. I would recommend this trip and Petr as your guide. His driving was super and he was concerned about how we felt. Highly recommend this tour with Petr.

Awesome tour! - Wonderful tour! Jan was our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. It was a snowy day and he made us feel safe the whole trip! He was very accommodating to our needs on a very long day tour. The Auschwitz memorial was such a great experience and everyone should do it at least once!

This tour will leave you speechless! - First let me just say our guide Petr is awesome!! He does such a great job you’ll feel like old friends at the end. The drive was long but actually felt like two hours because of the beautiful drive along with the great information Petr gives you along the way. We completely recommend this tour even though it’s expensive it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that is totally worth it! The two camps you visit are so touching to walk through! Stop thinking and book now!! And don’t forget to ask for Petr!

We started our tour in Prague, which made for a long day, but well worth the time. We enjoyed the drive and seeing the polish countryside

Auschwitz - The trip to Auschwitz was sobering and seemed fitting we went on a rainy day. It’s a reminder that we cannot let history repeat itself and so glad we went We were fortunate we had Petr who was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable on history. He also came very prepared to make sure we had a comfortable day with umbrellas and rainwear. Thanks Petr!

If you have more then 3 days in Prague - highly recommend this day trip - If you've never been to Auschwitz, it is a must-experience excursion in my opinion. Petr was outstanding in every sense of the word. He was on time, drove us safely to and from Auschwitz and back to Prague and was extremely knowledgeable. All the reviews were right, the food stop on the way back was really delicious and authentic. Highly recommend!

Make sure you get Petr!! - Petr made all of the difference for this experience! He was knowledgeable and very professional. While it was a 15 hour day, he made it feel very easy as he had the process and the day planned out, which really alleviated any concerns. Would highly recommend!!

A profound experience everyone should experience - We were a family of 18 who took the Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with LUCY TOURS last July 20. I cannot say that it was a nice tour because we were reeling with sympathies, unbelief, anger all the time we were touring the concentration camp. BUT I can say it was a profound, highly emotional tour that everyone should take so that they’ll know the horrors, cruelty, senseless killing that war brings. From the booking process till the end of the tour, LUCY TOURS was good; they only required a small downpayment then the rest in cash or individual credit cards just before the tour. It was a long drive – 6 hours going to Poland, 3-hour camp tour, then 6 hours driving back to Prague. We had a good guide in Prague who rode with us to Poland, then another Auschwitz guide for the camp. Lucy Tours provided us with a clean, new-looking Mercedes Sprinter that was good for 19 so that we had a comfortable ride with the hotel pillows we brought along. Be sure to bring water bottles, wear comfortable walking shoes, use sunblock, and an umbrella would help because it is almost 3-hours of fast-paced, continuous walking in gravel and sand along the camp. Thank you LUCY TOURS!

Once in a lifetime experience but not a personalized tour of Auschiwtiz! - This is a good way to get to Auschwitz. It's a 5 hour drive from Prague to Auschwitz Memorial. The time there was about 4 hours and the return drive was another 5 hours. The memorial was much more developed than I had expected. One problem is the number of people! They tour about 4,100 people through the memorial a day! They herd you through like cattle! There is A LOT of walking!! Our "personal guide" Petr was great! He did all of the driving in a very comfortable Mercedes SUV. There are choices of pick up times and we had one for 5am. I would suggest to take the earliest one available, like 4am or 4:30am. Due to the crowds and length of time to get there the earlier you arrive the better. My one complaint is with the description of the tour. The description says "Benefit from personalized attention as you tour the somber site at Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum...". This was anything BUT a personalized tour of the Memorial! As I said, we were hustled through by a guide (not our driver) who was difficult to understand, was very gruff, walked a mile a minute and didn't take questions. The tour guide for the group behind us was RIGHT on top of me and very rude! Petr, our driver, says the Viator guides are no longer allowed to accompany their guests and must surrender them at the Visitor's Center to join a large group of approx. 20 people. Viator needs to change their description of this tour to reflect that this IS NOT a personalized tour of Auschwitz but it is a convenient way to get to the memorial
