• Barockgarten Grosssedlitz - Known as the ‘Saxon Versailles’, Großsedlitz is one of the pearls of Baroque architecture. The palace was built as a summer residence for Augustus the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland. Around 1800 his remains were moved to the interior of the church, which was destroyed during the Second World War. It was not until 1950 that his coffin was finally placed on the altar of St Thomas.
