Best tour I’ve ever had - This is the best tour I’ve ever had. It combined two sites that I most wanted to see making it possible and affordable to see both Terezin and the Bohemian forest. Peter, our guide, communicated the day before which eased any anxiety about the pickup and the day. He graciously waited for one person in my party who runs late. He offered coffee, water and snacks right away. Peter gave wonderful background information about all we passed in the car and slowed when asked for a better view. We went to Terezin first and he got us there when they opened, putting us ahead of crowds. Peter was thoughtful in offering multiple bathroom breaks and extra time when asked. He was a teacher before tour guide and taught us things about Terezin that I hadn’t known though I’d learned much prior to our visit. After Terezin, Peter brought us to a cafe with only locals and he translated our choices from the menu. Nothing was off limits. We had quiche and pastry and wonderful coffees and teas. Next, we went to the Czech side of the Bohemain forest (Peter explained the meaning / history of Bohemia,) and we were blown away by the beauty. He told us about movies and books based on the places we visited and later sent us a written list so we needn’t worry about taking notes. After some time there, we went to a nice restaurant and could order any food and drink. There were five of us plus Peter and he helped us get to know each other which made the experience more comfortable and fun. From there, we drove to Germany. We were able to experience that side of the park and amazing views from up high. Peter graciously took photos for us all day. By the end of the day, about 12 hours, we drove back to our hotels in Prague. I said this was the best tour I’ve ever been on not only because of where we went but because Peter is amazing. He shares well his wide knowledge of Czech history, Terezin, Czech customs, movies, and could answer all questions or promised to find out and send a message. And he kept his word. Peter is fun, has a sense of humor and is the teacher many of us wished we’d had. Two people in my group were over 80 years old and he offered a hand up/ down and didn’t shame them for going slower. Add kind of his list of traits. I highly recommend this tour.

An Incredible and Memorable Day - I am so glad I signed on for this tour! While there is no shortage of beautiful sights in Prague, it was so satisfying to leave the city and experience more of Czechia (and technically, a patch of Germany), especially in such an easy and full-service way. Terezin is an important place to visit and learn about, and the park uniquely spectacular. With this one tour you get door-to-door transportation, Pete's vast knowledge of history and terrain, refreshments on demand, an amazing pastry & coffee stop, AND a high-end regional meal in a beautiful setting. Note that while a 12 or 13 hour tour might sound daunting (it kinda did to me), time just flowed in an exceedingly organic and comfortable way. Pete is a delightful person to spend a day with. Signing on for his tour is a no-brainer, if you want to broaden your visit and stimulate your brain, senses, and tastebuds while being completely taken care of.

Great full day trip… did not disappoint! - Wonderful combination of Terezin and the beauty of the mountainous countryside, providing good balance to the seriousness of the camp. The included dessert/coffee and following lunch were delicious selections by Peter. He interpreted menus and made great suggestions for the local fare. Throughout the trip, his knowledge of history and descriptions brought the experience to life. His driving was excellent, the vehicle was clean &comfortable with our small group of 7. He even provided coffee ,water & snacks for the trip. Definitely search for Peter’s tour!

Fantastic - I am not surprised that this tour is rated so highly. It was fantastic! The Bohemian and Saxon "Switzerland" Parks are stunningly beautiful, and the Terezin Camp is a grim reminder of the dark history and Nazi past. We stopped at an excellent bakery/Cafe and a restaurant to sample the local food - all included in the price. Peter was great! He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the region's history, culture and food. In fact he grew up and lives in villages we drove through. He is very engaging and speaks great English. The van is comfortable, and Peter brings along drinks (including a selection of beer!) and snacks for the ride.

Take This Tour For Sure! - This was an amazing experience that should be done if possible. Terezin serves to remind us that freedom and democracy are not entitlements and can be lost to generations that do not respect history. Peter was a wealth of historical knowledge that he shared throughout the tour. The subsequent trips to the national parks were breathtaking, informative and fun. Peter made sure that we were comfortable and he went above and beyond to ensure that we had an excellent experience. He even made us strudel for a coffee break!

Wish we could give more than 5 stars… - It would be hard to believe anyone could provide better service while being more enthusiastic or knowledgeable. Door to door pickup and drop off was amazing. This is an absolute must do on your time in the area. Comfortable transportation and even had a wide range of available snacks/drinks. We can not wait to get back and take this tour again.

Beware of unannounced cancellations - Tour never showed up. No notification of cancellation ever received. Only bright spot was that tour was never charged to my card.
