Excellent tour. Well worth the money! - Our guide, Dora was very knowledgeable and friendly. She took us all over the Island and explained everything in detail. I would highly recommend this tour and Dora as the guide.

Great tour - Our driver/guide was Antonio, he was fun, knowledgeable, took us to places known only to locals. We saw stunning views, drove winding roads we shared with goats & saw cows on hilled terraces. We went to natural pools, saw windmills and waterfalls, I would highly recommend this tour.

Went Above and Beyond!!! - At first I thought I was going to be dissatisfied because they wound up overbooking and changed the agreed upon plan, but this company really went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. They picked us up at our hotel and pretty much gave us a custom tour because of the mix up. We had such a good time with Carolina. She was a good driver, spoke 3 languages fluently, taught us so much about the island, and felt like a long time friend. After dropping everyone off, she even stopped at a fast food restaurant because my sister and I were coming straight off the plane and hadn't eaten all day. I will be recommending to anyone I know going to the beautiful island, Terceira and if I ever return, I will be using this company again. Carolina was by far the best tour guide we've ever had; highly recommend this company :).

Fun island tour - Fun and interesting tour of the island. Visited places we wouldn’t have normally seen on a conventional coach tour. Excellent value.

Amazing sights from multiple vistas - Our tour guide Carolina was extremely kind and knowledgeable about the island of Terceira. She was able to take us to some beautiful remote vistas that would be impossible for a non 4x4 vehicle to get to. She also gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations and information on where to attend the running of the bulls festivities at night. I highly recommend this half day tour with Carolina from Pro Island 4X4 Tours.

We loved our time with ProTours! - This review is about as delayed as our tour was but Antonio was so lovely and accommodating I still wanted to post. We visited Terceira island in April 2023 after being COVID delayed from a planned March 2020 trip. We were visiting for a week and when we were looking into the pre planned tours there was a lot of overlap between the companies. So we reached out to Antonio to see if we could just personalize our tours with him so we didn’t have the overlaps we would have if we booked on our own and it was amazing. Every day he had new adventures planned for us in the 4x4 Land Rovers, we had home made lunches he prepared and his team set up at a scenic location (pictures from one of our picnic locations). I’m not talking sandwiches in a brown bag, I mean different types of stews, grilled meats, sides, appetizers ,drinks the whole thing. After lunch we’d be off to our next spot. Even on our days without him he was making suggestions as to what to do, where to go, how to do it and helped us make arrangements with other groups for water activities. The beautiful hydrangeas you see in Google pictures weren’t bloomed yet in April but it was a much more quiet time to visit in terms of crowds, so we were told. But we’ll definitely be returning one day and when we do Antonio will be the first person we reach out to. He was lively, full of knowledge, and fun to be around. He’ll bend over backwards to make sure you have an amazing time on the island and you can telll how much he loves what he does. You won’t be disappointed!!

Great half-day discovering Terceira - We had an amazing day with Dora who showed us the most awesome viewpoints and places on Terceira. An amazing tour guide, she provided lots of info on the island and the people, answering any questions about the culture, history, customs and current trends. We were lucky with the weather and had a mostly sunny day but it can get quite windy. Totally recommend the tour 😁

Great experience with ProIslandTour. - My wife and I booked a half day island tour in Antonio’s 4x4 and we are so glad that we did. Antonio was a very competent driver and an excellent guide. We visited places we wouldn’t have seen in our less than stellar rental car. Even though the island is not large there are plenty of great sights and interesting places to visit. We highly recommend booking at least a half day tour. Thank you Antonio!

Jeep too small to fit 7 adults plus driver. - Carolina was an excellent tour guide and we did enjoy what we saw. She speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable about the island. The reason I gave it 3 stars was for the jeep itself. There were 4 adults in the back of the jeep (2 bench seats facing each other) and that turned out to be very uncomfortable. If you were the people in the front or middle seats, you had a good ride and could see outside. The 4 of us in the back could hardly turn around to look out the windows, not to mention how hard it was to get in and out of the back. It would be ok for kids, just not for 4 adults.
