A very nice day from Santiago - Antonio gave us a very nice tour. It was very varied and very well explained in German. We really enjoyed the lunch (freshly grilled fish, etc.). The time spent at the beach and eating was OK at 2 hours.

A very good way to discover the island quickly - A very good way to discover the island quickly, with its atypical and very natural landscapes. The guide "Alex", a local well known to many, not to mention his side activities as a singer, the contact was made directly! He knows a lot of non-touristy spots, so don't be picky :-), I recommend!! And if you are open-minded, mingle with the locals, who are very welcoming and social, but don't forget to be polite with a "bom dia / olà", even if you don't know the people, it makes it easier to make contact.

Worth it, culture shock without jet lag - Cape Verde is a special country, every island has something unique and is worth seeing. We visited Santiago, Sao Vicente and Santo Antao in 15 days.
Santiago is a real African island, back to basics, quite a bit of poverty and not much tourism. You can see the city itself in a day or 2. There are only 2 or 3 beautiful beaches and especially the plateau (city center) is very nice to visit. During our week in Santiago we traveled to Tarrafal, a small tourist spot in the north with a beautiful beach and a few nice restaurants. We then traveled to Sao Vicente (Mindelo) and Santo Antao. You should especially visit this last island, it is a beautiful island where you can take endless beautiful walks. We arranged the domestic flights (return 125 euros pp) in Santiago with Praiatur, a nice travel agency where they are very helpful.
Due to some delays (keep this in mind during your trip, everything goes differently than planned) we were unable to visit Maio and Fogo. These islands also seem to be worth a visit, so plan your trip (by ferry) well if you want to go here.
Recommended! Beautiful weather, safe, friendly people, special.
