- Voortrekker Monument - A major attraction on this tour is the Voortrekker Monument. This monument is of great significance to many Afrikaans speaking South Africans, there it stands for Afrikaner Nationalism. The monument is in the shape of a big stone cube. The interior walls depict the story of the Great Trek, a mass movement of Afrikaaner Boers who resented British rule.
- Church Square - Pretoria has character in its buildings and during this city architecture tour you will be given ample opportunity to ask your guide about the history behind the buildings and culture. We visit Church Square with prominent buildings like the Ou Raadsaal, Palace of Justice and Capital Theatre.
- Kruger House Museum - Next interesting site on our tour is the Paul Kruger House Museum. Kruger National Park is named after Paul Kruger. Learn more about this fascinating man and his life. The house displays furniture and personal items of the Kruger family.
- Union Buildings - We visit the Union Buildings, headquarters of the government. The buildings are beautifully situated in terraced gardens, trough which you can enjoy an idyllic walk.

Pretoria historical highlights - We enjoyed the tour. Clement our tour guide from Mo-Africa was awesome. He was very knowledgeable on the history of SA. He was patient in answering our questions and gave us adequate times at the historical sites. This tour was well worth the price we paid. Gave us good insights of the key historical points in Pretoria.

Half Day Pretoria Tour - Pros: Knowledgeable and friendly guide. Couldn't ask for anyone better. (I wish I could remember his Zulu name but it translates to Hope)
Cons: We were unable to tour the presidential building as the president was reportedly in residence and no visitors were allowed.

Historical Pretoria is the Capital of South Africa - Outstanding day visiting Pretoria for 1/2 day through MoAfrika Tours & our wonderful guide Paul. It is truly the Jacaranda City this time of the year with all the tree lined streets blooming in light purple flowers. We learned about the effect Paul Kruger had on the people & the land@ the Kruger Museum/house. He was truly loved & respected. We passed by beautiful Church square, but wished we could have stopped there to take pictures & to take it all in. Unfortunately the Union Buildings were closed to entry & we could only see them from afar. They are a spectacular complex & grounds where the President of S.A. resides & the administrative duties of the government are performed in the two wings of the facility. Paul our guide was wonderful & provided us with all the details at each location. We observed all the foreign embassies in the Hatfield area. All were behind gates and often fortified! The highlight turned out to be Voortreker Monument. A remarkable structure that took 11 years to build. Paul explained in detail to us the journey & obstacles they ran into as they traveled from Cape Town to Pretoria to settle this area, as depicted on the panels on each of the four interior walls. The view from the top of downtown Pretoria , Union Buildings & University of S.A.-Pretoria was phenomenal. Included in the museum were artifacts from this trek they took. Paul was a delight to have by our side explaining the history of the region!
