- Rietvlei Nature Reserve - The Rietvlei Nature Reserve is situated 18 km from the centre of Pretoria and 38 km from the OR Tambo International Airport. The 3 800 ha of endangered Bankenveld grassland includes open plains and undulating hills. The extensive vlei areas and tributary streams support the scenic splendour of the Rietvlei Dam – built to provide water to Pretoria.
Some 1 600 head of game, including cheetah, rhino, buffalo, blesbuck, black wildebeest, red hartebeest, eland, Burchell’s zebra, hippo, waterbuck, reedbuck, springbuck, mountain reedbuck, steenbuck, black-backed jackal, and grey duiker can be viewed here.

Visit to Rietvlei Nature Reserve - We had a brilliant visit to the nature reserve today. We were picked up by our guide,George, from our hotel at 9am as arranged. George was an excellent guide, friendly and very knowledgeable. We thoroughly recommend this trip.

Nature & Wild life Tour - Was a very relaxing and informative tour, with the guide in the vehicle. He helped point out the animals as well as give a wider description of the nature of Southern Africa and Africa as a whole.
