Once we’ve fetched you from your hotel, we direct you to our start point or meet you there. Be prepared for a walk through the scenic valley. The hike covers a roundtrip of 7km each way into and out of the valley.
Today’s adventure involves visiting bear sites, observing them from a cautious distance. The shortest we’ve been from a brown bear in the Tatra mountains of Slovakia was approximately 100 meters.
The Tatra mountains house over 400 brown bears, with a steady increase in population observed. In fact, there are nearly 1000 brown bears residing in Slovakia.
