Thingvellir National Park - At Thingvellir National Park, we will witness the impact of tectonic plates on the landscape. We’ll see Iceland’s largest lake, Thingvallavatn, and delve into the rich history of Iceland’s first national park. For instance, the Viking settlers established a parliament here in 930 AD, naming it Alþingi. It retains the same name and is the oldest functioning parliament in the world.
Gullfoss Waterfall - At Gullfoss Waterfall, you’ll marvel at this majestic cascade, which narrowly escaped destruction in the early 20th century when foreign entities sought to harness its power.
Geysir - In the Geysir geothermal area, we’ll explore numerous stunning hot springs. We’ll see the old Geysir, which used to erupt high into the air until it ceased in 2000. There’s also a hot spring named Strokkur that currently erupts every few minutes.
Fridheimar - At this charming location, we’ll relax inside a greenhouse that cultivates tomatoes. In 2012, the family owning the farm opened a small restaurant within one of the greenhouses. The menu remains simple, featuring the world’s best tomato soup and freshly baked bread. Desserts include Tomato Ice Cream, Tomato Cheesecake, and Tomato Apple Pie. This lunch is an additional cost and can be booked as an option when reserving the tour.
Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin - We’ll enjoy a soothing bath in the remarkable Secret Lagoon, Iceland’s oldest swimming pool. The warm, relaxing water flows in from a nearby hot spring.
The South Coast and the Waterfalls
Seljalandsfoss - Our first stop will be the breathtaking Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, which originates from Eyjafjallajökull.
Skogafoss - Another majestic waterfall also fed by Eyjafjallajökull.
Reynisfjara Beach - The stunning black sand beach near Vik.
Fjadrargljufur Canyon - A picturesque canyon.
Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon & the Diamond Beach
Fellsfjara - Diamonds are forever.
Glacier Lagoon - Floating icebergs on Iceland’s deepest lagoon.
