Rabat - Next, head to Morocco’s capital, Rabat. Start with the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Oudaya Kasbah. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Chefchaouen - Then, drive directly to the blue city of Chefchaouen. Along the way, pass through several small towns and take breaks as needed. Arrive in Chefchaouen early enough to stroll through the blue alleys of the medina, take photos, and savor the local cuisine. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Chefchaouen - Fez

Chefchaouen - Spend the morning exploring Chefchaouen at your leisure. This city is nestled in the Rif Mountains in northwestern Morocco.

Chefchaouen - Known for its striking blue-hued buildings, Chefchaouen’s old town features leather and weaving workshops along its steep, cobbled streets. In the shaded central square of Outa el Hammam, you’ll find the red-walled kasbah, a 15th-century fortress with ethnographic and artistic exhibits. Nearby stands the octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque.

Guided tour sightseeing Fes

Fes - Dedicate the day to exploring the highlights of Fes with a local guide. Fes is one of Morocco’s imperial cities and serves as a cultural and religious hub.

Start by visiting the Royal Palace gate, followed by the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enter through the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud) and navigate the labyrinthine alleyways. Visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the Quaraouin mosque and university, the world’s oldest university. Afterward, explore the Jewish quarter, known as “the Mellah,” and drive to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of the Medina and Fes. Return to your Riad.

Fez - Ifran - Midlet - Sahara Desert of Merzouga

Ifrane - After breakfast, depart Fes and head towards Merzouga via Midelt and the Ziz Valley. Travel through Ifrane, a picturesque mountain village dubbed the Switzerland of Morocco. Stop at the cedar forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you might spot Barbary apes.

Midelt - Continue to Midelt, passing through the stunning hills and mountains of the Atlas. After lunch in Midelt, journey through the Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau. As you approach Errachidia, the landscape begins to hint at the desert. Travel along the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views en route to Erfoud and Rissani.

Merzouga Desert - Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and enjoy a glass of mint tea. Take a camel ride into the Sahara Desert to reach your camp for the night. It’s recommended to bring a backpack for the camel ride, as you won’t be able to take all your luggage. Leave your larger bags in the car.

Erg Chebbi - Wake up early to witness what might be the most spectacular sunrise of your life over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.

Todgha Gorge - After a Berber breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga with your driver. Along the way, marvel at the changing light on the Erg Chebbi dunes. Continue to Rissani, Tinghir, and the Todgha Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco.

Dades Gorges - After lunch in the gorge, drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see majestic sand castles and unique rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Spend the night in a charming guest house overlooking the Dades Valley, with dinner and breakfast included.

Dades Valley- Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Hadou - Marrakech

Ouarzazate - After breakfast, travel through the Dades Valley towards Ouarzazate and then to Marrakech. The road, known as the “way of the thousand Kasbahs,” offers numerous photo opportunities. Stop at Kalaat M’Gouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, where you can visit a cooperative to purchase rosewater.

Ait Ben Haddou - Continue to Marrakech via the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, built by Et Hami El Glaoui in the 19th century. The kasbah is now home to many Glaoui people.
