Welcome to Cairo - Aswan
Aswan High Dam - After being picked up from your hotel or the airport in Cairo, you will be transferred to Aswan via a domestic flight. Upon arrival, your adventure begins in Upper Egypt, the heart of ancient Egyptian civilization. Your first stop will be the High Dam, one of the world’s largest embankment dams, built across the River Nile at Aswan.
Temple of Philae - Next, sail across the Nile to the beautiful island of Agilkia to explore the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Goddess Isis, the goddess of magic. Afterward, you will check in to your cruise.
Abu Simbel Temples & Kom Ombo, and Mummified Crocodiles & Sailing to Edfu
Abu Simbel - Prepare for an early transfer to the lakeside Abu Simbel Temples around 4:30 am. Arrive around 8 am to visit the rock-cut temple, considered one of the greatest achievements of mankind, constructed by Ramesses II and dedicated to God Rehorakhti. The temple is distinguished by its main façade, featuring four incredible statues, breathtaking in their majesty. You will also see another impressive smaller temple built by Ramesses II for his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari.
Temple of Kom Ombo - At noon, after lunch, visit the Temple of Sobek, the crocodile god symbolizing fertility, and the Crocodile Museum, which houses excellently preserved mummified crocodiles, showcasing an intriguing aspect of the Ancient Egyptian cult. The cruise will then sail to Edfu.
Edfu Temple & East Bank Karnak & Luxor Temple
Temple of Horus - Explore the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the most well-preserved temple in Egypt, located in the little Nile-side town of Edfu.
Karnak Open Air Museum - Discover the temples of the east bank of Thebes, including the enormous Temple complex of Karnak, Ipetisut or “Most Select of Places,” the largest temple structure ever built by man, dedicated to the sacred gods of Thebes.
Luxor Temple - Then visit Luxor Temple, Ipet Resyt, or the Southern Sanctuary. Both temples were integral to the most important ancient Egyptian religious celebrations, the Opet Festival.
