Your driver will meet you in the lobby of the Sanjiang/Chengyang hotel at 9:00 am. Sanjiang is located 200 km from Guilin/Yangshuo. The journey takes approximately 7-8 hours by private car, as there is a stop at the Longji Rice Terraces. Without stopping at Longji Rice Terraces, the trip would take just 3 hours.

The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a magnificent agricultural marvel with a history spanning over 650 years. The most striking part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, which was the first to be discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields carved along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone paths. There are viewing platforms for visitors to admire the entire terrace fields, built in layers. While visiting, you can also experience the traditional lifestyle of the minority Zhuang people. It is quite fascinating to assist them in the fields, try on their vibrant ethnic costumes, and explore their unique stilted houses.

Itinerary:

9:00–11:30: Depart from Sanjiang hotel or Chengyang hotel to Longji Rice Terraces
11:30–15:30: Explore the Longji Rice Terraces, visit Ping’an village or Dazhai village independently, and enjoy lunch there
15:30–17:30: Transfer to Guilin hotel or Yangshuo hotel. The tour concludes.
