Schedule: from 07:00 to 17:00 hrs
07:00 am We pick you up at your hotel in Santiago to take the route to Cajon del Maipo, to begin climbing the iconic trail to the Mirador de Cóndores
Along the way we will be able to observe the valley of the Colorado River and a beautiful variety of birds in this area, hoping to be able to contemplate the guardian of the Andes: The Andean Condor.
After a climb of 1 to 1.5 hours, we will reach the pass, to rest for a while and be able to recover our energy to continue climbing. Later we will cross the water course of the Quebrada de Trescientos, and we will begin to ascend again. This area is very arid, with very few trees around. At around kilometer 3.6 the slope begins to go down and you can see the long cliff that is our goal.
The Mirador de Cóndores is a large esplanade that rises over 2,030 meters, right above some impressive cliffs that form rocky cliffs. Because of this, you have incredible views from the heights.
On our return we will stop to enjoy a delicious Chilean lunch with a view of the mountains.

A two-hour drive will take you to the start of the trek, where a view of the Cordillera with its snow-capped peaks awaits you. With your local guide, you will learn about the native vegetation of the area such as peumos, espinos, cactus, maitenes etc. Some belonging to the sclerophyllous or evergreen forest. Along the way you will also learn about the fauna of the place, hoping to see Mora Eagles and other birds of prey, also always looking for traces such as fox and puma tracks. Upon reaching the top, you will be able to observe the Tupungato Volcano, the highest of the volcanoes in southern Chile, with an imposing 6570 meters. After descending and having spent a wonderful day hiking in the Andes, we will rest and regain energy at the Colorado Glamping, where we will be welcomed with an authentic Chilean lunch, such as pastel de choclo, humitas or porotos granados.
