Fundamental - Me and my husband hired a 4x4 Jeep Tour ride through waterfalls and alambics. We love it. The Everton guide gave a show of knowledge about the Royal Road, the gold cycle, the manufacture of cachaça and manioca flour. Besides, of course, to take us to beautiful waterfalls, especially that of Tobogan. Always very safe and kind. Unperishable.

City Tour Paraty - In every corner, a charm - Touring the Historical Center of Paraty with Guide Ramón from the Paraty Tours Agency is a separate chapter in the history of Brazil. At every step, a discovery. The guided tour brings knowledge and includes us as part of this history.

Easter weekend in Paraty - Leaving early in the morning from Sao Paulo, after a first stop in Aparecida to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida and a second stop to refresh ourselves in a small place that seems to have come out of a fairy tale, the Casa dello Strudel, we arrived in Paraty where we stayed in one of the many pousadas that characterize this charming and characteristic colonial-style town, the southernmost of the municipalities in the State of Rio de Janeiro, the second tourist center in the State after the capital and 17th in the whole country. After unpacking, we went and had dinner at a highly rated local restaurant. Upon leaving the restaurant, the weather put us to the test because walking on the cobbled streets that characterize the historic center in the rain was not easy! It rained all night... and in the morning the weather is Decide to have dinner in one of the many restaurants found in this... and you find yourself sitting at a table that is reflected in one of the canals that cross it... and so you think back to the town where you live whose river and dock are completely separated from the city territory... fortunately improved, even if there was a layer of humidity from all the water that had fallen and was literally evaporating.... We enjoyed the breakfast included in the price of the room, comfortably sitting on the patio next to the swimming pool, in a truly tropical atmosphere... and then first we went for a swim in the Praia do Jabaquara, right behind the pousada, located in a sheltered bay surrounded by intense green forest. With the car, we then returned to the historic center of the previous evening... where we had had a bad time, but which in the sunlight was something completely different.... The streets had dried out despite the amount of rain that had fallen, and the colors and colonial atmosphere were very relaxing. We wandered around every corner, finding many typical craft shops, little squares, restaurants and churches all surrounded by tropical flowers and trees. The port was full of typical and colorful boats ready to take tourists on excursions to the various bays of the natural park and in fact we booked one for the next day, Easter Sunday. An excursion that lasted the whole day which took us to visit various beaches, including the one from which you access the Juatinga reserve characterized by a morro that can be reached with a long hike and from which you can admire the entire Paraty region. On one of these beaches we stopped for a light lunch in a classic Brazilian restaurant. Returning to Paraty in the late afternoon... after a refreshing stop in the pousada, we returned to the center to have dinner in an "Italian tavern" where we enjoyed an excellent margherita pizza while also trying some traditional Italian culinary dishes. After a night's rest, necessary after the long Sunday day, and after the rich "tropical" breakfast we left to return to Sao Paulo, thus concluding this Easter weekend. Bruno Marfe

Quick & Informative - Great, quick tour of downtown Paraty. Learned quite a bit in this short tour. Great tour for learning the history of the area without committing a whole day to a tour.

Good historic tour, but with a different tour guide - This was a tale of two cities. We enjoyed touring the historic part of Paraty, and we appreciated how well Viator and Paraty Tours company communicated with us. However, we have never worked with a tour guide who is so negative (e.g. "Brazilians are unorganized, the French are complicated, religions are not good"). We would work with Paraty Tours again, but not with this tour guide.
