Ask for Luis. You won’t regret it. - Luis was our tour guide. An absolute history buff. He made sure we were all taken care of. Great sense of humor that made our time together much more desirable. So many stories so much information about Progresso Mexico . 6 hours on a bus with a couple of stops that seemed to fly by. Take this tour with Luis. You won’t regret it.

Excellent port day - Wonderful day with pickup right outside of the Duty free shops. Abraham was the guide and Allahadra drove us to the salt flats, flamingo lagoons, cenoti pools, maya ruins and a lovely all inclusive resort right on the beach. I would do it again as there is so much to see and do.

Great experience. - The sanctuary with racoons and cenotes was interesting. Liked that they are taki g every effort to preserve the area in its natural state. We also liked the market ruins. Only thing i would have like more history of the areas.

Good experience. The guide tour excellent. The weather did allow us to visit every thing. - I loved the visit to the flamingos and the place where the salt is collected. I recommend this tour.

Not A Good Tour - My husband and I are frequent travelers, We always book our excursions through Viator and have always been very pleased with the services and tours but this most recent booking was EXTREMELY disappointing. First of all, our ship docked in Progreso, and we took the shuttle to the terminal. There, it was very very difficult to even connect with the tour guide.  We walked around and around the terminal asking several people for direction then attempting to find a building that resembled the picture that was sent to us from the driver (we never did find that building). Then, as requested, we sent our picture in and FINALLY connected with the driver who was waiting on a corner somewhere outside of the terminal. As you might imagine, being in a place that we’ve never visited before, this experience was very unnerving.  We were expecting a comfortable vehicle, perhaps a van or bus and maybe sightseeing along with other tourists. Instead we got a small, old, dirty car with a driver who, although he was very pleasant, barely spoke or understood English.  We were so looking forward to visiting the sights that were described in the advertisement but, as it turned out, the 4-hour tour turned out to be only 3 hours. We were taken to see flamingos, to a salt pan and to the Xcambo Mayan Ruins then back to the terminal.  There was no visit to the El Corchito Ecological Reserve or swim in cenotes, AND no beach visit at all! This was not AT ALL the experience we looked forward to and paid for and it would be fair that we be compensated for the disappointment of an excursion we were promised but didn’t get. We were turned down for any compensation at all.
