Private tour and amazing customer service - Fantastic adventure with our tour guide Tony (Antonio). He was very knowledgeable of all the attractions he took us to. There was a bit of a language barrier but it helped that spoke some Spanish and understood everything he said. He did try to help my husband who only speaks English but I told him it's okay and that I could translate. We had a great time and he kindly waited for us while we explored and took pictures. He took us on a private tour in a car with air conditioning and took us directly to a wild life conservation area where we saw wild flamingos and other birds and fish and crabs. We asked questions, took some pictures and went on to the next site. Pink salt lakes. He went to the men working and asked for a piece of the salt to give us. That was special and souvenirs we'll hold on to forever. We then went to Xcambo mayan ruins. Tony showed us the whole site and walked around with us and answered all of questions. He then let us explore to climb the ruins and take pictures. My husband really loved the church. After that he took us back to the city to a beach club where we had a lovely lunch and a pretty view of the beach. He left us for about an hour and a half and then came back to pick us up and take us back to our bus to ride back to the port and make it to our cruise ship on time. Highly recommend using Criss and Sands excursion services. They kept in contact with me in making sure we made it to our meeting points on time. Very helpful, friendly, professional and courteous. They made our anniversary unforgettable. Thank you so much Tony. You are amazing. Mucha Gracias.

Pink flamingos - They drove us all around (30 min.) to put us on and up close to the wild flamingos. We also got to see a wild gator and springs that pour from the ground. Then a short bus ride (30min) to the pink salt mines. Really cool culture. (By chicken here to take with you ) . Then a 5 min bus ride to the Mayan ruins. It was a really good tour of the history of the mayans. Then they let us walk all around the ruins. We even got to climb them.there was a few cats at the ruins that was really skinny. ( that's why I wished i would have got the chicken from the salt to feed the cats) then we drove back to the start. The beach club was small and the food is just their local good. I loved it some dont. The staff was really nice there . I got a 25 dollar 30 min. Massage. It was nice. The staff does expect a tip but they was worth it. Our tour guide did great. Jorge morano 9991449053 took really good care of us and they made sure we made the boat in plenty of time. Was only at beach about hour and a half before needing to leave.

Great Day! - Had a little trouble finding any sign or paddle board with the name but asked and were directed behind buildings.Remember you must pay cash ,it is on the web site.Nice air conditioned van departed quickly.Jorge was our guide and he was very informative and told us where there would be restrooms (appreciated that) Little bit of a ride out to the pink lagoon and flamingos but well worth it .Jorge told us about the nice houses and names of the estates on the way.Loved seeing the flamingos in the wild and the pink salt ponds. The small beach resort was kinda plain when we arrived but it was really nice .Food was really good ,nice restrooms and the best pina coladas.Great service on the beach.Really cool float in front of beach .Great Day !

Preserved and Accessible - These ruins are barely "ruins" at all! Very well preserved and even accessible for those that have difficulty getting around. Many of the large structures are open to scrambling up the steep steps. The entire site is expansive, we went through the entire site at a reasonable pace. It took about 90 minutes, but one could spend double that if desired.

Enjoyed the Mayan ruins after a confusing start - Our tour guide Antonio was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins and the salt flats. The only drawback was we requested an English speaking tour guide and he spoke very little English, but luckily my wife speaks Spanish so she was able to translate for me. We also saw many pink flamingoes and stopped to take pictures. We didn’t really spend time at the beach since we were hungry after the tour but it looked nice. The vendors were everywhere and Antonio picked us up after our meal and took us back to the pickup spot.
Also, pickup at the ship port is an additional charge which I didn't know about until after I had booked. We declined that and made our way to the meetup point but no one was there and the door was locked. Luckily the vendor across from the meetup point saw that we were lost and told us he contacted Jose who met us there shortly afterwards. It was a little cumbersome getting started with no real way to contact the staff except through the Viator app.

Good but not great - Tour guide was great, but widh we had more information at the ruins. Really disappointed with the beach break. Website said there were inflatable water toys to use and there was not.

Was very mediocre - The ruins were awesome to look at and we saw lots of flamingos! Was a little disappointed that we had to pay $8 a person after paying $85 per person just to go on the excursion. The included beach resort wasn’t that great, the buffet food was mediocre and the drinks were pretty bad. As far as the tour guide goes he was good, wish he spoke more English so we could’ve understood more of what he was saying cause we know very little Spanish.

Beach is not good but the Mayan ruins are great to visit. - This tour was a little disappointment! The Shore Excursion representative Jose or Aaron who is supposed to be there wasn’t there instead it was a lady who was very busy texting at the corner of the tourist info pavilion. It was really hard to find her! She looks like a tourist unlike the other tour representatives in their uniforms looking for their guests. In regards to the tour, We visited the Xcambo ruins which was great lots of Mayan history and we were able
to climb up the top of the ruins. Next stop was the Flamingo, they were too far to see and not a lot of them. The Pink salt lake, we only stopped by for 5mins for a quick pic. The tour guide was in a hurry to take us to the beach. The Silcer beach was a big disappointment. When we got there the tour guide told us that we cant swim due to the red tide warning. We paid another $25 for unlimited food and drinks. The food and drinks were good but beach was brown and kinda muddy with a terrible smell from somewhere. They could have told us ahead of time about the red tide warning that way we can do something else aside from just sitting in the lounge chair staring at the dirty water.
