In Bellagio, you can enjoy the stunning views of Lake Como and stroll through the beautiful gardens of Villa Melzi. The guided tour includes a walk through the downtown area, followed by a visit to the gardens of Villa Melzi. Afterward, we’ll take a ten-minute public ferry ride across the lake to the town of Varenna. There, we’ll visit the magnificent Villa Monastero, the medieval church of St. George, and explore the downtown of Varenna. Please note that entrance tickets to all villas and ferry boat transfers are not included in the guided tour price and must be paid at local ticket offices. IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A BOAT TOUR! WE WILL BE USING A PUBLIC FERRY BOAT TO CROSS THE LAKE FROM BELLAGIO TO VARENNA AND BACK. THERE IS NO PRIVATE BOAT INVOLVED! Meeting point: Bellagio, Piazza Mazzini, 30 (right outside Hotel du Lac, yellow building). If you have trouble reaching Bellagio for the guided tour, please ask for assistance instead of leaving negative reviews due to difficulties in reaching the village.

Great Orientation to the Bellagio / Varenna area. - Great introduction and orientation to the Bellagio / Verenna area! Learned the ferry system and process as well as other matters that would have taken us time and mistakes to figure out. Giorgio was completely flexible to accommodate our specific needs.

Enjoyable experience - We enjoyed the walk around Bellagio and the boat ride to Varenna. The museum and gardens there were beautiful. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. The would definitely recommend this private tour.

Bellagio and Varenna, Lake Como, private guided tour - I would highly Georgio as a tour guide. He was extremely informative about Lake Como and Northern Italy. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and the ferry schedule. He was also considerate and advisable in making arrangements to meet in Bellagio and traveling to Milan.

Best Tour Guide in Northern Italy! - Giorgio was a phenomenal tour guide. He showed us everything we wanted to see and did even extra when he didn’t even have too. He did not give us a hard time at all and was very accommodating. He had great recommendations for everything. I have used Viator before and Giorgio was the best tour guide and driver I ever had. He genuinely cared about us having a great time and did everything to make sure of it by making sure we saw everything wherever we went. Giorgio was funny, genuine, down to earth and gave us a lot of historical information about the places we visited. He was also very responsive with messages and made last minute changes with no issues. I definitely recommend any tour guides by Giorgio and give him 10/10 and five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sormano , Bellagio and varenna tour - This was an excellent guided tour by Giorgio - he was extremely knowledgeable , very engaging and super flexible with the tour - we covered as much as 250 kms today starting with a pick up from my hotel at 9:30 am , going to Sormano to watch the Beautiful snowclad peaks to Bellagio and then a public ferry to varenna which to me was an absolutely incredible experience - the icing on the cake was a last minute decision of ours to go to Lugano - Giorgio was extremely patient throughout and was able to give a very clear and concise historical context to whatever we were viewing ! Thank you Giorgio for a truly incredible experience!

A Perfect Day in Bellagio and Varenna - Bellagio and Varenna are both beautiful and so different. Giorgio was our private guide and he perfectly planned the day for us. Ferry rides, gorgeous gardens, cute shops and lots of people watching. Perfect day. Thank you.

Stunning but long travel time. - Georgia was wonderful, helpful and k formative. The only challenge was getting to and from Bellagio. We stayed in Comi and the ferry was not reservable online so we didn’t risk going to try to get the 9am ferry and took a taxi for 124 euros. We took the ferry back from Varenna in the end and it was a 3-hour ferry ride. We also had to spend a lot of time in lines for ferry tickets between Bellagio to Varenna and Varenna back to como so we had less time to actually enjoy the towns. But overall it was well worth the visit. The scenery is STUNNING! It may make sense to stay longer and split up the ferry days or drive directly from Milan to Bellagio.

Lake Como - Not bad for a walking tour I recommend next time the meeting place should be Varenna and not Bellagio because it’s very difficult to get to.
